LOL, I saw the interview on youtube with friends of mine from Kenya. They spoke the language, they said that is indeed what she said, no mistake. Obama's grandmother claimed to be there when he was born and she was talking about the one that is our president (although this was when he was running for president). And unless you speak Swahili you have to take someone else's word for what happened, my friends also campaigned for Obama, I happen to believe them.

I'm not sure I agree. I think the GOP is dead as a legit ruling party until it divorces itself from the evangelical wing of the conservative base. Until the party eliminates the theological bent and liberalizes in social concerns they are done.

The trick though is to REALLY liberalize. The "progressive" arm of the Democratic party is just as dangerous as any evangelical.
