Sarah Palin Would Challenge Obama in 2012: 4-1 Margin Palin More Qualified

Another poster stuck in 2008. What gives?

The OP posted a link that says 3/4 of Republicans polled believe if Palin runs against Obama in 2012, they think she will be the more qualified candidate, I'm not going back to look up the verbiage but that's the gist of it.

I'm no Obama worshipper nor am I a Republican. But I fail to see how this can possibly be swallowed by so many people considering that unlike in 2008 when that talking point was first disseminated, Obama will have more than 3 1/2 years under his belt as POTUS before the 2012 election. Arguments over policy aside, what could possibly prepare one for the position of being POTUS better than.....being POTUS?

If anybody can give a rational explanation for this, I'd love to hear it. Because I DO want to see a decent choice in 2012 from whichever party can give me one, and this kind of fantasy won't produce it.

You raise a very good point Gold.

I am a registered Indi and Barry will have 4 years of Experience as Prez.

Palin, while I think she had way more experience in 2008 than Ol'BO did, will have only that experience to draw from.

AS I said. I will be waiting to see who the Reps DO field against Ol'BO before making up my mind.

I really dont' think Palin will run but I wonder who the heck will???

Gotcha. I'm waiting to see who runs myself. I hope there's a decent choice this time, I really do. But if this is an indication of how the GOP primary voters are thinking I'm concerned.

I may be an Indie, but of course I have an interest in who they field as one of the choices for Head of State of my country. And I really, really would like to know what they see in this person and why they back him or her for the position.

I gottcha also Gold.

I, like you, will be very interested to see who runs agains Obama in 2012. I sure hope its someone I can support. Jeeze. Fingers crossed big time baby.

Here's the bottom line. I'm an independent. I voted for Obama in '08. As of right now, I'm not entirely happy and my vote is up for grabs in 2012. Unless you run a religious right neocon retread. Like Palin.

But keep catering to the hacks and the terminally stupid if you want, there's always 2016!

And why the wingnuts can't see this is beyond me! They have chased all of the moderates out of the party, independents, by their very nature are moderates. If they put Palin up in 2012, they're practically giving the election to Obama.

To the GOP:

You and your religion are fine with us. However, we are not prepared to elect a president who four years earlier didn't know there were two Koreas; or who though living across the Bering Straight gave her foreign policy credentials; or who believe she saw Russian planes flying over her home state.

I'm sorry. We might vote for someone with her level of experience, but not her level of stupidity. And you can call Obama whatever you want; however, at least his intellect IS deserving of the job.

Sincerely,

Independents and moderates.

Right now I'm not getting that peaceful easy feeling.

But there's a lot of water under that bridge, maybe somebody will emerge. Here's hoping!

The Reps chased all the moderates out???

PaaaLeeze. They did it to themselves by supporting this clusterfuck bill. The bill that they themselves did the backroom deals on even though they had a supermajority. They also ingnored 59% of the American people who want real reform not this ridiculous bill . Many of them decided to retire or not run again. That was their decision. They could see the writing on the wall.

As for Palin if you believe she didn't know the difference between N and S Korea You must be pretty gullible. Any idiot knows that and I believe Palin is far from an idiot despite what you may think. Her record in Alaska is was head and shoulders above Ol'BO's as a part time Senator and community organizer in 2008. Palin wasn't even running for Prez.

AS for intellect. Well being smart doesn't mean you ARE smart. Barry boy proves that every day. He was no more qualified to be President in 2008 than the man in the moon. Everyone just fell for his Hopey Changey bs and let a smooth talker bamboozle the lot of em.

His intellect doesn't make him deserving of anything. Its what he does that speaks to his ability. So far, he ain't shown much.

I'm still waiting to hear how any of the claims about Palin's record qualify her for the position of President of the United States better than years of experience as President of the United States. :eusa_doh:

Well crap. You folks had absolutely no problem electing a guy with no experience whatsoever. He was a part time Senator and a Community Organizeer. Jeeze. You all fell for the hopey changey bs and now look what we have??

Honestly. Poor choice for the Prez.

As for Palin. Don't think she's going to run at all. I'm not making any decisions until I see who the Reps are going to field against Ol'BO. Sure hope its someone with better credentials than Barry boy has. Jeeze.

BULLSHIT!!! You have ALREADY made up your mind to vote for ANYONE who is NOT Barrak Obama.

LOL I'm sitting here laughing.

Glad you know who I will or will not vote for.

2012 isn't here yet. I don't know who will be running against OL'BO and will gladly wait and see before I make up my mind.

Again. LOL.

Yeah RIGHT you can LIE to yourself but NOT to anyone else who reads your HATE FILLED posts. Your HATRED of Obama is CLEAR and so is your choice to vote for ANYONE other than Obama in 2012.

Having no respect for someones Governiing abilities is a long way from hating them.

Hating someone takes a great deal of effort and quite frankly no one is worth that kind of effort in my book.

You however don't have a problem hating Palin. Thats pretty obvious in your "hate filled" posts. She isn't even running for anything and you hate her guts.

LOL Have fun with your hatefest.

The GOP began shedding itself of moderates a long time before Obama got elected. That had zero to do with the stimulus or Obama. This is strickly an internal GOP matter. The wingnuts decided they didn't want anyone in the party who didn't think like them. Heck, Reagan wouldn't have satisfied this crowd.

Palin is a good woman but i would prefer the Republicans come up with someone else. She is more qualified than the current failed "Community Organizer" President but i'm not sure she is Presidential material either. The GOP needs to look elsewhere. More & more people are becoming sick of the Democrats forcing their Socialist agenda on them so it wont take much for the GOP to come up with candidates to beat them. I just don't think Palin is the answer.

My apologies. I thought you were referring to the moderates in the Dem party.

Yes. The GOP does have right wingers but the Dems also have left wingers. Don't care for either myself. Just wonder if either party has enough to affect who runs in 2012???

Really, I guess you think that John MCain is a conservative, right? You leftist clowns paint anyone that is right of you as religious zealots, you have to know what a load of crap that is or you are even dumber than I ever imagined.

It's not nearly as bad as being called a Marxist or a Communist or a Socialist, is it? Can that be a load of crap too? And are those who do this dumber than you imagined?

And yet, you posted no links at all.

Quick Fact: Palin repeats falsehood that Alaska produces "20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy" | Media Matters for America

(CNN) -- Astounding. Risky. Quitter. And that's what fellow conservatives had to say Sunday about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her decision to step down with 18 months left in her term.

Conservatives taken aback by Palin's decision to resign - CNN.com

Sarah Palin Throws another Top Aide under the Bus | Politicususa

Palin has a long history of tossing her biggest supporters under the Palin Bus, making sure to leave their reputation in tatters as the bus rolls over them in its relentlessly ambitious journey to her self-described God-mandated “destiny” as President.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/05/weekinreview/05tanenhaus.html

Ms. Palin has made no secret of her displeasure with Republicans who differ with her. And in what could be interpreted as supportive remarks Friday, one of her champions last year, William Kristol, the editor of The Weekly Standard, seemed to be extending his open conflict with Republicans who were quoted in the Vanity Fair article expressing reservations about her fitness to govern.

I'm curious, what did the geniuses at "Media Matters" say when Barry claimed he had been to 57 states, was going to another one tomorrow but his staff wouldn't let him go to the other 2....... Hawaii and Alaska?

I noticed that they only referred to the petroleum sent to the lower 48 states(that's right dimwit obama, there are 50 states..... idiot), how about the natural gas? Media Matters is a joke and nothing but a bunch of ass lickers for the dimwit donkey party.

You know you're being silly. Obama taught constitutional law. Considering when his own state became a state, it's ludicrous to believe he doesn't know how many states there are.

But, if he visited 50 states and then returned to visit 7 of those states a second time, then he did indeed make 57 state visits. Come on, quit being an ass. Grow up.

Lets see: Business owner, Fmr Mayor, Fmr head of Alaska Oil & Gas Regulatory Commission and Fmr Executive of Alaska vs Community Organizer and small Chicago district 1 term jr Senator by default? Where do you get that Obama is more qualified?

SHE QUIT HER JOB AS GOV! SHE QUIT.

She believes the dinosaur bones are here to test your faith. She taught abstinence as birth control to her daughter who of course had a baby. She left her state to sell books. She was behind a bridge to no where. She doesn't know what she likes to read.

Are you serious. SARAH, RUN PLEASE!

Omg, get real, please

Get real? What did he say that wasn't true?
