Sarah Palin doing what she said she would do, back conservatives, not just a party.

Good for her. I like her. I especially love how enraged the leftist ideologues get over her!! How dare she quit her shitty government job to make $7,000,000 from the productive sector on a book deal!!! How dare she be pretty!! How dare she be a regular American with a family and problems!! HOW DARE SHE!!!!!

This thread is proof enough of that. :clap2::clap2:

Anyone who can make liberals foam at the mouth like this has my full support.

It is quite amusing!

I wonder if the administration will come out and say that Oprah isn't a 'real' talk show because Palin has opposing views? lol

I am waiting for the liberal news media to PANIC on this interview, they did their very best to destroy Sarah Palin and her family. I am still betting that one of the far left extreme loons on Msnbc, cnn or the major news networks is gonna start in again, only this time they will be going after Oprah, and Oprah is nobody to mess with, she has always had quite a following amoung women voters.

Too bad she stumped for Obama, it may be part of the reason she is down in the ratings. Obama only got 53% of the vote, some of the other 47% might not have been too happy about her promoting the community organizer gone President.

Panic?? Why would anyone panic with Sarah Palin appearing on an unscripted talk show? I've always said, the more visibility that Palin gets, the better.

What's weird about Palin is that she's attained a bonafide cult status now among a fringe of conservatives - despite the fact that she quit her governorship when her ratings in Alaska started tanking.

Is Sarah Palin the best hope for the USA, could be, I will have to wait and here some of her speeches and interviews. If Sarah Palin can promise to bring Heavy Industry back home and develop Nuclear and Fossil energy we have hope.

Without massive amounts of new/old jobs, like steel and textiles, we are lost.

You know what scares me, currently more of our food production is being shipped off to foreign countrys, who would of though Kraft would be making so much of its food in Mexico, who would of thought China would begin exporting food to the USA.

At least the Liberal/Marxist have clear ideas on the future of the USA.

Liberal/Marxism is always good for the people, just look at Stalin or Mao, Castro or Chavez.

We could probably get you some Green Energy jobs. China wants nothing to do with those

Palin's power play in New York

By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Sarah Palin's endorsement of a third-party candidate in New York will test whether her staunch brand of conservatism sells outside Alaska.

Palin dissed the Republican candidate, Dede Scozzafava, as being unworthy of her support. (The Democrat is Bill Owens.)

Said Palin: "Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race."

So why did Palin get involved in the New York race? Not for bad reasoning, actually.

As she noted, "votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York."

She donated some money from her PAC to help Hoffman, too.

Why?

"Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty."

The latest polls showing Hoffman doing well enough to win, followed by Owens and then the Republican...

The Democrat Owens has moved into the lead in the polls. A Democrat has not held this seat since the Civil War.

Short Takes: Club poll shows Hoffman ahead in NY-23 (2 hours ago...)

A new survey commissioned by the Club for Growth puts Conservative party nominee Doug Hoffman in the lead with just eight days remaining before he special election in New York's 23rd district.

The poll shows Hoffman taking 31 percent to 27 percent for businessman Bill Owens (D) and just 19 percent for state Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava (R).

Jon Lerner, who conducted the poll for the Club, said that the rise in Hoffman's numbers is due to the fact that the district, which takes in much of northernmost reaches of New York, "want to elect an anti-Washington conservative".

That sentiment coupled with Hoffman's ability to stay competitive financially with Owens and Scozzafava (with a major assist from the Club) and high-profile endorsements from the likes of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty among others has turned Hoffman from a fringe third-party candidate into a potential winner. (Make sure to check out the Fix's take on whether Hoffman can win.)

Need more evidence of Hoffman's relevance? The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, after spending several hundred thousand dollars bashing Scozzafava, switched its ad traffic over the weekend to a new commercial hitting Hoffman.

The ad, which was produced by the firm of former DCCC executive director John Lapp, paints Hoffman as a millionaire who is out of touch with the economic hardships of many in the district. "Millionaire Doug Hoffman has a waterfront island home...even a classic car collection," says the ad's narrator. (Hellooooo class warfare!)

A Hoffman victory would send shock waves through establishment Washington.

Conservatives would tout it as evidence that the party wins when it embraces its core principles rather than runs from them. Republicans would tout Hoffman's strength among political independents -- his core of support at the moment -- as a sign that GOP brand has bounced back with unaligned voters in advance of the midterms. And Democrats would almost certainly highlight the internal civil war that this race has spawned within Republican circles to argue that the party is (still) tearing itself apart.

No matter the outcome, the viability of Hoffman's candidacy makes proves -- yet again -- the unpredictability of electoral politics. Man this stuff is fun.

The Fix - Short Takes: Club poll shows Hoffman ahead in NY-23

If Hoffman actually wins this thing - it could prove a transformative event within the Republican Party - and a direct shot across the bow against the entrenched privileged interests of the long-standing Republican elite...

This is the first poll taken since the Palin endorsement. If accurate, a stunning shift in voter support from Independents and Republicans in support of Hoffman...

Hoffman Surges Into Lead in NY-23
New CFG Poll shows Hoffman 31.3%, Owens 27.0%, Scozzafava 19.7%

Washington - A poll released today by the Club for Growth shows Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman surging into the lead in the special election in New York's 23rd congressional district to replace John McHugh, the former congressman who recently became Secretary of the Army.

The poll of 300 likely voters, conducted October 24-25, 2009, shows Conservative Doug Hoffman at 31.3%, Democrat Bill Owens at 27.0%, Republican Dede Scozzafava at 19.7%, and 22% undecided. The poll's margin of error is +/- 5.66%. No information was provided about any of the candidates prior to the ballot question.

This is the third poll done for the Club for Growth in the NY-23 special election, and Doug Hoffman is the only candidate to show an increase in his support levels in each successive poll. The momentum in the race is clearly with Hoffman.

"Hoffman now has a wide lead among both Republicans and Independents, while Owens has a wide lead among Democrats. Dede Scozzafava's support continues to collapse, making this essentially a two-candidate race between Hoffman and Owens in the final week," concluded Basswood Research's pollster Jon Lerner, who conducted the poll for the Club.

If Sarah costs the GOP congressional seats, the GOP head honchos will toss her and her supporters out of the Party leadership. They will cut off financing. They will not return phone calls. The Palinistas will politically die in the wilderness into which the wandered. Good.

You clearly have no clue how the Party system works.

They will ultimately go where the $$$$ is - and right now, Palin is among the greatest generators of that. Hoffman has been receiving considerably more campaign donations since Palin's strong endorsement - which might very well lead to him getting elected.

And if that happens watch out - both Republican and Democrat Party elite are gonna be shaken up.

You gotta admit - Palin and these current times makes for fascinating political - watch...

Have anything from an independent poll??

The Club for Growth is a fiscally conservative 501(c)(4) political organization with an affiliated political action committee (PAC) active in the United States of America. The Club advocates limited government, lower taxes, less government spending, free trade, and economic freedom. Its PAC endorses and raises money for pro-growth candidates.

Yea.......our poll says our candidate is winning

So Sarah Palin endorses one Conservative Democrat over the Republican (big difference huh? :eusa_eh:.) That suddenly makes her a rebel and keeping her promises? I'd like to see the ratio of endorsements.

Sarah Palin doing what she says she was going to do being based off one example is like saying the Health Care Bill that just got out of committee is bipartisan because Snowe voted for it. Care to delude yourself all you want, but the truth stands.

She's Marvelous! She's Maverick-ish!

It's a legit poll - conducted for CfG by Basswood. These are conservative pollsters - but for now, this is the only poll after the Palin endorsement, and it refects a definite shift in voter trending leading up to the election.

Quite remarkable actually...

Yep, watch what happens if the seat goes to the Democrat. Sarah will be finished forever in the GOP. Newt and others have warned her. Let us see if she is stupid as the far rightoids on this board.

POSTED: October 31, 2007

The Club for Growth claims State Sen. Steven Buehrer has a lead over State Rep. Bob Latta in head to head polling.

The names of other Republican candidates did not appear in the polling results released this week.

The Club for Growth is a Washington, D.C.-based political action committee that has thrown its support behind Buehrer in the Republican special primary election

The polls were conducted by Basswood Research between Sept. 19 and Oct. 28.

Latta is now CONGRESSMAN Latta
