Why not? Kids are filled with so much marxist degenerate trash these days, by barely literate union teachers, I don't know why they bother calling what they do "teaching history" at all. Our schools now rank something like 36th in the world in mathematics and language skills. We're just barely ahead of the third world, and we're in the bottom of the bucket among developed nations. Thank your local marxist.

Civil rights legacy? One of the icons, Andrew Young, who went on to become US Ambassador to the United Nations, and who also held a very lucrative civil rights/race relations shakedown position at Walmart, got his ass fired from that job when he went off on a racist tirade against Koreans during an outdoor speech in urban Atlanta a few years back. That's just the kind of thing gangsters and illiterate ghetto trash need to hear from civil rights icons, isn't it? Go on home, get your Glocks and Molotov Cocktails, and we'll go burn us down some gooks.

Actual, factual Civil Rights Movement accomplishments? Thank the Southern Baptist Church and non corruptible people like Josea Williams, the third member of the great Civil Rights triumvirate, consisting of he, Martin Luther King Jr., and Andrew Young. I doubt 1% of union dolts teaching history in this country even know who Williams was. He's especially not part of the Civil Rights curriculum at American colleges. He was purged you see.

That's because he was a Republican, a patriot, a WWII combat veteran who was badly wounded, the 18th African-American in US history ever to get a master's degree in chemistry, a USDA chemist for several years, a tireless soldier of the rights of little people, poor ghetto people, and a successful entrepreneur who made gobs of money from the chemical company he founded in the early 70's, that supplied the city of Atlanta with all their cleaning chemicals. Oh, and he also campaigned for Ronald Reagan. How many more black marks do you need on your resume in order for parasitic race-baiting condescending racist democrats to hate your guts?

So you see, civil rights history is a very malleable thing. 10% might be factual, while 90% is skewed marxist bullshit that was worth the scribble to the left not for the edification of students, rather its only reason for being is to advance an insidious political platform based on hate. If we dropped civil rights history from all school curriculums tomorrow morning, we'd be doing students, our nation, and empirical history a great service for the effort.
