The inspectors did a piss poor job. These chemical weapons have been sitting there for ages. We don't know what else they had that was likely relocated as the U.N. inspectors were going about their pre-announced visits that clearly were not thorough enough.

It's like nobody really wanted to find anything back then. Even now they pretend it's nothing to worry about.
