A big offensive is upcoming.

"For the first time since they began their aerial campaign inside Syria, the Russian Air Force has carried out several airstrikes over the Dara’a Governorate in southern Syria, striking the Islamist rebels from the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Brigades” at the towns of Kafr Shamis, Tal Al-Harrah, Kafr Nissaj, and Nabi’ Sakher.

According to a military source inside the 5th Division Base at Izra’a, the Russian Air Force has recently concentrated on northern Dara’a in order to weaken the Islamist rebel defenses before the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored and 7th Mechanized Divisions launch their long-awaited offensive inside the Dara’a Triangle.

In addition to the Russian Air Force’s aerial bombardment, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Division has concentrated more soldiers to the Kafr Shamis front in preparation for the imminent assault that is expected to take place in the coming days.

Yesterday, the Islamist rebels attempted to capture footage of the Syrian Arab Army’s movements at the 5th Division’s base inside the city of Izra’a; however, all 7 of the Free Syrian Army’s reconnaissance drones were downed by the Syrian Air Defense.

The battle for the Dara’a Triangle is expected to begin in the coming days, as the Syrian Arab Army attempts to recapture the Dara’a-Quneitra border that was lost to the Free Syrian Army’s “1st Brigade” in the Spring of 2014."
