You are here, to Discuss a issue that is not only grabbing at the throats of Europe, but a issue that has the potential to cause conflict and disorder around the world. For 21 years now the Soviet Union collapsed leaving the United States as the only world "superpower" (In some people veiw they may be others, but the USA is the only formal one). But now, 21 years later Russia wants to reclaim the land that they let go of, Ukraine. Ukraine is in a very unstable condition as of now because of Russia's desire to reclaim the country. But however like everything, there will be three groups of people. One that agrees and wants to go along with it, one that does not agree and goes against it, and people who really don't care. Right now the country of Ukraine is in chaos, and those who had enough money simply left Ukraine. But it is not as simple as that for lower class citizens who definitely don't want Russia taking anymore land. The lower class citizens are subject to having to stay in Ukraine if Russia takes it. But how exactly will Russia take Ukraine for themselves? The first bit of land Russia got was the Crimean peninsula, which held ports and is very useful trade and military wise. However when Russia first decided to take this bit of land, Russia showed potential military aggression. However this is not the middle ages, you can’t just take over a country. Now a days it requires much more deaths and sorrow to do that. Russia got the vote to get the ports, but how are they planning to get the rest, a mass vote? That would lead in the favor of disorder and cause the mass panic of those who want nothing more but to stay Ukrainian. But what would Russia exactly do with the land? Why would they want it now that the got the “good” part of it. Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at first wanted to make it look like he just wanted the Crimean peninsula, but because of later actions after the he got it, it was obvious he wanted all of Ukraine. You can't just let people set up their own country, want it back 21 years later, and expect them all to go along with it.Why does Russia want Ukraine is the big question. Well as currently Russia is considered a "World power", Prime Minister Vladimir Putin wants Russia to once again become a world "Superpower" giving it the status it had before the Soviet collapse. To do that, Russia has to reclaim Ukraine that broke away from Russia. But what will Russia do with its newly found power and how will it affect the world?

What scared me is that Putin said to the west," remember we are a nuclear nation". As if we are likely to forget that Russia has enough nuclear missiles to blow up the world several times over. We do not need that megalomaniac bastard to remind us in a manner that is a clearly veiled threat to use nuclear bombs.
I find it cause for concern that Putin can put his finger on the nuclear button.
