It took Al Sharpton ten years to pay off his defamation law suit. I guess the law only works for Republicans.

1 dollar is all they get and a life of misery afterwardsIsn't politics a wonderful sector to be part of? Where else can you play games like this?
I have a feeling that Rudy will have the opportunity to appeal the decision on the amount.
Pretty much a standard procedure.
Yup and its perfectly legal for an improper ruling to be vacated by the SCOTUS as you'll see shortly. It's perfectly legal for the judge to make rulings. Who told you it wasn't?
I didn't make the court order. The judge did. I'm pretty sure he knows more about what is possible than either you or I.Like I said playing games....if he/she can even force a 148 million dollar bond. Seriously?
That won't fly. But looking good with that swing and a miss, Bulldog.
Where in the article does it say he has to post a bond to appeal the decision?Of course he can appeal the order. That requires he post a bond for the full amount. You didn't read the OP?
Apparently not as the SCOTUS will soon make clear to him----and you.I didn't make the court order. The judge did. I'm pretty sure he knows more about what is possible than either you or I.
Just like in Trump case it's another judicial over reach that's going to be slapped downI didn't make the court order. The judge did. I'm pretty sure he knows more about what is possible than either you or I.
The judge is concerned that any delay in payment will give rudy a chance to hide his assets. His refusal to supply information during the trial was seen as an attempt to hide his assets, so there is no reason to believe he will be any more forthcoming now. Of course, he can contest the immediate payment order, but to do that, he will have to post a bond for the full amount. Poor rudy has screwed himself again.
Judge Orders Rudy Giuliani To Immediately Start Paying $148 Million To Defamed Election Workers
Giuliani’s attorney suggested at the defamation trial that imposing significant damages would lead to financial ruin and amounts to the “civil equivalent of the death penalty.”www.forbes.com

The judge made clear that she was going to have him locked up if he said anything she didn't agree with.Rudy was scheduled to appear, but he refused. Whose fault is that?
