Looks like we've created another bloody quagmire. When will Americans tire of the Perpetual War Agenda?

Over the weekend, President Trump celebrated firing more than 100 missiles into Syria by Tweeting, “Mission Accomplished!” They say if you cannot learn from history you are condemned to repeat it. So I guess we are repeating it.

We all remember that “Mission Accomplished” was the banner behind then-President Bush as he gloated aboard a US navy ship that the war in Iraq had been won. After his “victory,” however, some 4,000 US military personnel were killed, perhaps a million Iraqis were killed, and the country’s infrastructure and social fabric were so badly destroyed that they probably can never be repaired.

Actually, there is much about the US attack on Syria that reminds us of Iraq.

With Iraq, the US moved in to start bombing before international inspectors had completed their mission to verify whether or not Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Had they been allowed to complete their mission and verify that he did not, imagine the suffering, death, and destruction that could have been avoided. In Syria, the US decided to start bombing before the international inspectors were even allowed to start checking claims that Assad gassed his own people in Douma. Why? What was the rush? Was Washington afraid they might not find Assad guilty?...

To answer Dr. Paul's question... Yes, the Regime Change folks were desperately afraid Assad would be found not guilty, if properly independently investigated.

I heard this morning Russia will not allow international inspectors in there.

"Mission Accomplished" was the correct heading for the latest strike.

The Mission was to destroy their places of manufacturing and that's what we
did. Thus, the Mission was Accomplished.

People try to put too much into slogans because of political bias. If your team
is facing 4th and 1 and you go for it at midfield. If you pick up a first down...the
mission was accomplished. Doesn't mean the game was won. Doesn't mean the opponents will give in. It just means you were successful on 4th down.

The need, politically, to score points on anything is not self-serving it is destructive.

/-----/ "We all remember that “Mission Accomplished” was the banner behind then-President Bush as he gloated aboard a US navy ship that the war in Iraq had been won." Why do you LIbtards have to lie, twist and distort everything?
Bush stated at the time "Our mission continues" and "We have difficult work to do in Iraq," Bush never uttered the phrase "Mission Accomplished";[2] a banner stating "Mission Accomplished" was used as a backdrop to the speech. The banner referred to the crew and USS Abe Lincoln that they had accomplished their mission in the Gulf and were returning home. You trolls are pathetic.

And since when is Putin president of Syria, to be making its decisions for them.

Putin said they will take possession of Assad's chemical weapons three years ago....what ever happens now is on them not us....he should have done what he promised that jackass Obama he would do...he didn't so regardless of who dropped the chemical weapon (we know one was used) it's been verified....Putin is as much to blame as Assad for not doing the right thing and removing the weapons from Syria...he has no moral ground to stand on with this issue...none....

When indeed.

Yes. This is the same song, different verse. World Police. Perpetual War. Military-Industrial Complex reach-around.

100 cruise missiles @ $1.5 million each = $150,000,000

Ron Paul was the last U.S. Representative worth a shit. We have a few younger Reps he is raising in his likeness here in Texas. May it spread like a disease.

I heard this morning Russia will not allow international inspectors in there.

Can you blame em? They've already been attacked. That ship has now sailed.
Unless they want more attacks, it probably would be a good idea to let them in, if indeed they aren’t guilty. They have been playing this game for awhile now.

Russia halts further chemical weapons inspectors in Syria

Too late for that. Guilty till proven innocent. It's all about the Regime Change. Americans need to stop supporting that illegal policy.

You are brainwashed fool experiencing false memories. Lay off the kool-aid, jackass.

Nah, it's a real memory. Go back and check it out yourself.
I remember that disinformation all over the media.

You not only drank the kool-aid, you are propagating crude, defamatory anti-USA disinformation.

USA is the anti-thesis of Russia. This strike shows that a 2nd grade dictator can’t hide behind the maffia-ruled Russia.

No, it wasn’t America’s job to do this. But I am so glad that there is still a America, not too bogged down with internal conflict, that can land a blow where it’s needed.

And that Trump happens to be the current game show host over there is manageable.

Good job guys.
