That's an easy one and has virtually NOTHING to do politics or subsidies. They caught up to us because idiot American businesses set them up with solar production facilities and GAVE THEM THE KEY TECHNOLOGY to do it. All because idiot American businesses think that they can use Chinese labor without their products being stolen.

It's far cheaper to set up manufacturing over there still. And the technology is so mature that no further MAJOR development is neccessary. Especially of the gimmickry type that Solyndra was pushing..

Bierman was EVP of Operations and Engineering and was presenting cheery, optimistic PowerPoint obfuscation sessions as late as July, as well.

Wilbur Stover, Solyndra's CFO and a veteran of the Micron price-fixing scandal, had a $367,000 salary and also collected at least $120,000 in bonuses. He joined CEO Brian Harrison in pleading the Fifth Amendment while under congressional questioning.

Paula Camporaso, VP of Information Technology; Dave Sanat, Vice President of Supply Chain; and John Gaffney, Corporate Counsel were among the many Solyndrans also collecting substantial bonuses.

Actually -- I used to love Rachael in print. Especially her deep analytical stuff for The Nation and other journals. She got into MSNBC and lost all of her integrity. Really sloppy now in reasoning and too little attention to REAL facts. Things she calls "facts" -- are really opinion or leftist meme...
