I honestly don't think you're smart enough to understand why he isn't. That's the sad part of it. You appear - by the evidence of your posts - to be unable to distinguish between logic and emotion. No President of the United States can be a dictator. Our system does not allow it. Now, you may not like the guy's politics but calling him a socialist dictator is hyperbole.... pure and simple. Is he a socialist? I believe he is, yea. But that does not make him a 'socialist dictator'.

You make the assumption that because they are limited to a 4 year term they are not a dictator. This is false thinking. Length of term has nothing to do with being a dictator or not. Its about centralized power and lack of checks and balances.

I don't think anyone thinks we have an absolute dictatorship at this point. This is more hyperbole but it has a valid basis in my opinion. The concentration of power in the form of the POTUS setting the legislative agenda for congress, bypassing congress with executive orders, bypassing congress with regards to appointments, going to war without congressional permission and endorsing laws that give greater powers to the executive branch to use the military domestically are all symptoms that we are heading in that direction. Then you have congress allowing it to happen and even colluding to it by passing the laws that allow it like the patriot act and DMAA. You may disagree with this but I and many, many other people see this as a dangerous trend that needs to be corrected. It isn't just Obama that is doing this it is every POTUS we have had in recent years.

Our military now has the power to snatch American citizens off the streets, ship them out of the states, torture them, hold them forever with no charges filed. If the founders were alive today there would be no waiting for 2012. They are preparing for mass civil unrest people. Our own government. FEMA has been building mass arrest camps all over the country since Bush was in office. Thats the whole purpose of NDAA is to legalize the use of the military to hold people in military detention.

Before WW1 there was mass civil unrest regularly. They used the military and the guard and openly shot live rounds into crowds. This is all well documented and it wasnt isolated incidents.
