‘Alternate reality’: Republicans who don’t watch Fox News have dramatically different views than Republicans who do

Republicans who don’t watch Fox News have markedly different political views than Republicans who do, according to a new poll.

Nearly eight in 10 Republicans — 78 percent — who watch the conservative news network say President Donald Trump is the most successful president in history, compared to just 49 percent of Republicans who don’t watch Fox News, according to poll results reported by The Daily Beast.

The results were provided to the website by Navigator, a project launched by Democratic groups Global Strategy Group and GBA strategies, and show the network’s influence on its viewers.

The survey’s authors say Fox News presents an “alternative reality” to its largely conservative viewers, and plays an “outsize role” in shaping the political and even scientific views for a significant portion of American voters.

For example, Republicans who don’t watch are nearly twice as likely to believe climate change is driven by human activity, compared to just 12 percent of Republicans who do watch Fox News.

Nearly the same percentage of Republican Fox News viewers — 79 percent — who believe Trump is the most accomplished president ever also believe the FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies are trying to sabotage the president.

Slightly less than half — 49 percent — of non-Fox News Republicans believe Trump was the victim of such a conspiracy, and just 8 percent of registered voters who don’t watch the network agree.

“Where Republican partisan affiliation and the Fox News echo-chamber overlap, there is near unanimity on the politics and even the facts defining the Trump presidency,” the poll’s authors say. “This is the ‘FoxHole.’ What the Navigator data demonstrates is this particular segment of the public is so vastly different from the rest, it may serve progressives best to focus their attention on everyone else.”

Interestingly, the poll also found that Fox News viewers are far more aware of progressive issues, such as the Green New Deal, than those who get their news elsewhere, because the network relentlessly pillory such proposals.

My question is, how many of you USMB Republicans/, rightwingers and other assorted conservatives watch FOXNEWS, and if you don't does your views differ any from the folks in your circle that do?

How silly.

So, Republicans who watch MSNBC and CNN have dramatically different views than those who don't?

I and others I know who oppose the Democratic Party watch far more Leftist "news" than that of the FOX variety. I don't think anyone here would accuse me of "going Democrat".

Also - "The results were provided to the website by Navigator, a project launched by Democratic groups Global Strategy Group and GBA strategies, and show the network’s influence on its viewers."

In other words, the results were presented by those who in all likelihood support Leftist news organizations.

Nothing more need be said.

However, liberals all have the same point of view.

So how many democrats agree with democrats that get their news from hard left opinion news sources verses actual news?

How many Republicans understand that the left has gone over the reality cliff no matter what news source they watch?

I suspect most Republicans on the USMB watch Fox News.

If you can’t handle the message, you attack the messenger. We see it again and again. That’s what Republicans do. That’s what they’re expected to do. And they don’t disappoint.
We see the left attacking the right with their hate and ignorance every day. Then they complain about violence. But when someone makes fun of a bias poll and those who try to make points with it the left goes even flackier.

I don't watch Fox News however the site you linked seems pretty biased as well.

I wonder if the same is true of those that watch MSNBC, I would think so because the left wing nuts seem to flock to MSNBC and they like Fox are or used to be the extreme.

As usual, you only talk about one side.
Your question should be...

How many of all of USMB posters watch Fox or CNN????

Nonsense. Obama is the greatest president in history. We know this because we saw it on CNN.

That's why I ridicule them and walk away. I don't even care what they retort with. It's likely just as stupid as the thread title I mocked in the first place. They should be embarrassed to look as stupid as they do.
