Republican Officials Partnering With Christian Extremists

Do You Know David Lane? Every American Should

This is a name that few people know and that everyone should. He is a far right wing extremist who goal is to establish the U.S. as a Christian Theocracy and he has got the ear of many prominent and influential Republican.

I believe that we as a nation-not just liberals and Democrats- should be very concerned about this. I do not think that most Republican would be comfortable with so many of their politicians being in bed with this person. In pursuit of conservative evangelical voters, GOP candidates embrace far-right political operative who is raising an ‘army’ to fulfill his ‘Christian nation’ vision

On Saturday, June 13, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will host a day-long, Christians-only prayer rally organized by political operative David Lane. Lane, who organized similar events for Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, is trying to recruit 1,000 conservative evangelical pastors to run for office, which he believes would mobilize hundreds of thousands of election volunteers and lead to conservative election victories in 2016.

Lane prefers to work outside the glare of the national media. Although his close connections to Republican officials and presidential candidates have drawn some notice, the extremism of the agenda he is promoting deserves far more attention than it has received to date. When one-third of the Republican National Committee took a nine-day junket to Israel in January with the American Family Association picking up the tab, things got a little ugly. Israeli media started asking questions about the extreme positions taken by AFA spokesman Bryan Fischer, including his claims that the First Amendment’s religious liberty protections apply only to Christians and that gays were responsible for the rise of the Nazi Party. In damage control mode, the AFA disavowed some of Fischer’s most inflammatory statements and took away his title – but not the radio show that continues to give him a bigotry-spewing platform. Meanwhile, the actual organizer of the trip, Christian nationalist David Lane, slipped out of the spotlight and got right back to building political alliances between high-level Republican politicians and conservative evangelical pastors, especially those in key primary states. - See more at: Why Do Republican Officials Keep Partnering With Christian-Nation Extremist David Lane Right Wing Watch

The connecting tissue between Kristian Fundmentalists (kristian with a k because they are not really Christians, they pretend to be) is real. This has been going on for 2-3 decades.

It remains to be seen how desperate these people will become as the demographics are pushing the Republican party further and further from being able to win national elections.
So please tell us what a real christian is?

Someone that lives as Christ lived.

Christ washed the feet of the poor and denounced the moneychangers.

Conservatives in the U.S. spit on the poor and worship at the feet of the wealthy. The are in fact anti-Christ.

So you just repeat everything you hear regardless of truth right?
Conservatives out give people like yourself, because your no christian, that's plain as day,by miles, but you just keep repeating the old tired talking points you have learned, regardless and remain an ignorant, intolerant ass,its good for our country.

No, I view what people do. Conservatives in the U.S. spit on the poor every chance they get, and the lick the shoes of the wealthy. They are not Christians.

And rather odd that you are outraged at someone saying 'they' aren't Christian but you reserve that right for yourself.

You aren't a Christian, thank you for proving the point.

The only 'talking points' I use are fact. You use emotion and Faux News. 'Git angry! Them thar heeethens is rilin up the corncrib!'

We saw what real Christians look like in the families of the 9 people slaughtered in South Carolina.
Forgiveness isn't just a myth in their minds.

Not any worse than a left wing domestic terrorist like Bill Ayers being cozy with Obama.

Relax there Spartacus. I know its bad when truth hits the bone. Very painfull.

Simple, prove me wrong. Let's see the Republican party pass legislation to help the poor rather than the wealthy. They continually want to lower taxes for the wealthiest but people who have lost their job have to pay taxes on unemployment. They want to deny basic healthcare to people that can't afford it. Millions of children go to bed hungry every night in America, where are the conservatives? 20,000 children die every day around the world. Where are you?

And I know some conservatives give to charity, great.
But their politics are the politics of praise the wealthy and step on the poor.

Exact opposite of Christ. Reality is what it is.

By the way, if you are a Christian and I've offended you, why don't you forgive me.

First off Christian extremist is what liberals call extremist. I am not Christian and was not born Christian, but I prefer religious Christians over the radical Muslims liberal cozy up to.

yep, but don't accuse them of being TWO faced hypocrites. They won't put down Muslims, because they are cowards and afraid they might have their HEADS cut off.

LOL What 'liberals' 'cozy' up to Muslims? Come on now.

I'm an agnostic and I don't have a problem with anyone practicing their religion until they start forcing it on others.I celebrate Christmas, love the season and the music and look forward to it every year. "Oh Holy Night", versions by either Josh Groban or Celine Dion is one of the most spiritual and moving songs ever recorded.

And it really pisses me off when a group of people 'claiming' to be Christian show with their attitudes and actions that they are not. "Its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a wealthy man to get into heaven". I'm pretty sure the bible itself says "do not remove or change anything that is in this book, as it is the word of god". (paraphrasing) Yet somehow the Republican party practices the exact opposite. They are the party that protects the wealthy and willfully burdens the poor. And the Republican party is the conservative party in the U.S.

Something doesn't add up does it.

I was told I wasn't a real Christian by a poster here because I was divorced, I have gay friends, and I believe God gave women the right to choose when He gave women the ability to miscarry.

And I believe that Jesus didn't like rich people.

Actually he said, "do not lay up your treasure on Earth..."

Seems pretty straight forward.

What are we talking about radical Muslims? All religious extremism is dangerous. We are talking about a secular government that the founders intended and a theocracy.

'Murder Of The Masses': 7 Insane Right-Wing Predictions About Gay Marriage Submitted by Brian Tashman on Wednesday, 6/24/2015 3:55 pm

“If this Supreme Court rules against marriage, all hell is going to break loose,” or so warned Tom DeLay, the former House GOP leader. DeLay has said that “if they rule against marriage,” then “we will all defy” the “ten [sic] unelected, unaccountable people” on the court, joining a host of Religious Right leaders, including presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, in signing a vow to resist a Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality. - See more at: Murder Of The Masses 7 Insane Right-Wing Predictions About Gay Marriage Right Wing Watch

Likely GOP presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee have joined more than 200 anti-gay activists in signing a pledge vowing to resist any Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality. The pledge, which was co-written by Mat Staver of the right-wing legal group Liberty Counsel and Deacon Keith Fournier, a Catholic activist who recently argued that marriage equality is quite literally an attack of the Devil, recycles the language of a similar document circulated by right-wing groups when the Supreme Court took up a previous set of marriage cases in 2013. Staver and a number of other activists introduced the current pledge at a press conference this morning. - See more at: Santorum Huckabee Join Anti-Gay Extremists In Vowing To Resist Marriage Equality Ruling Right Wing Watch

I find your histrionics over the "Dominionists" entertaining.

They are indeed a very tiny speck on the Christian Horizon, they wield no power and are in fact powerless.
