Report: Most Signatories Are ‘Ignoring’ or ‘Abandoning’ Paris Climate Commitments

98 degrees today by the beach in Cali, spoke to a friend in Florence Italy , and family in Morocco thru all agree things are getting worse....every I go I hear it. Sweden, New Zealand, Dubai.

Go somewhere else!

This past summer we had a few days in the mid-90s. Normally we get a couple of weeks with high temps over 100. A few years ago, it hardly ever reached 90 and our pool stayed so cold all summer long that you couldn't swim in it!
Where do you live? ALASKA?

Kentucky. We actually had low temps at night in the 60s this past July.
We have excessive heat this weak, ive never seen 100 where i Live and it's almost November. France is the hardest hit lately, that's why they are the driving force behind the last agreement.

So? This has been the warmest fall I can recall so far, but 3 years ago it snowed on Halloween with 40 mph winds!

It was in the high 80s last week but snow flurries are in the forecast for this weekend.

We have a name for that around these parts. It's called "weather".

It has been the trend...and it's documented all over the world. I myself talk to farmers and people from different countries they are all on the same page. Hotter and less rain/snow.
We do like other countries, days with no cars give incentives tax breaks to manufacturers of electric cars.

I think one of the main reasons we have obesity problem, people just don't walk or ride bicycles. A city where I live is ultra liberal, they put bikes everywhere for people to use for a small fee....its working perfectly.

I'm good with you personally doing everything you can to defeat the Global Warming Boogeyman. Just don't force others to. I value my freedom & liberty much more than i fear the Global Warming Boogeyman.
Thank you.....Freedom of choice is nice, but when it affects the well being of the planet we live in and the health of us all...it needs to be addressed......Also I never understood why people drive massive cars that guzzle gallons of gas and pollute the air we breath. Why can't one just get a small car, Hybrid or even electric they are often cheaper and are economic.
When i'm riding my bicycle and there is a huge truck that passes blowing out clouds of smoke vs an electric car with emissions I'm thankful to the latter who thinks about others and himself.

Electrics and hybrids are cheaper? What planet do you live on?

That truck may be carrying the food to your store. You think they can carry that in a Chevy Volt?

Cheaper than a silverado, and are trucks and SUV's for sure....Nissan leaf, Prius, And so many hybrids....and Tesla now with state incentives and tax credits. And on top of that no gas money, it'll save you thousands a year.

Did you know they are ending production of the Smartcar? Do you know why?

I drive a very economical car, and it gets almost the same exact gas mileage as a SmartCar and if I accidentally hit a squirrel that is crossing the road, I won't be killed instantly.
hahaha that was funny....no SmartCar will only sell electric cars. Not a big fan of it....I like the Tesla. But again your broke ass people in the red states can't afford it....we have to make you a cheaper version.

Never saw one. Out here in God's country, we drive everywhere because walking would take all day.

In fact, i can only recall seeing one Chevy Volt. The real advantage to that car was that it cost 4 times as much as my car and got the same gas mileage.

The Chevy Volt gets up to 100/Gal....what the hell you drive?

I was planning to be dead of climate change by now after Trump backed out of the accord, oddly I'm still alive and running the furnace to keep warm. :eusa_think:

What about all the bouts of severe stupidity you are having?

The Chevy Volt gets 42 mpg on gasoline. Your figure is the equivalent using electricity.

The added distance traveled is electrical power for which you also have to pay. The cost of the vehicle, the electricity, and additional wiring to charge the car makes it less economical than my car which gets 40 mpg. Plus, I never have to replace the batteries except the one I use to start the car.

A few years back, my best friend bought a hybrid SUV at the same time I bought a conventional SUV. They were the same model year. My friend paid twice the amount for his SUV as I did for mine. The difference in fuel milage was 3 mpg. At the current fuel prices I sat down and showed him how that he would NEVER recoup the additional cost of his vehicle in it's lifetime compared to mine. Two years later he had pay to have his batteries replaced. I drove that SUV for 10 years and the most expensive repair was less than $100 for a new alternator. He got rid of his SUV because it was killing his wallet! Everything on that vehicle broke!

Cost of electricity ? It's way cheaper than gas that's for sure....and yes you get a combined 100 miles per gallon, and changing the battery won't happen till at least 5 to 10 years and they are way more efficient that when your friend bought his SUV.
A prius beats any gas car on the market, you compare and tell me what you came up with...im not gonna even go to the 100% electric cars.

Just as I thought. If the U.S. hadn't backed out of this monstrosity, we would be one of the few countries complying with its terms. International agreements with no enforcement mechanism are as worthless as the paper they are written on.
I can't see any point in holding to an agreement from which the nation with the largest cumulative emissions of CO2 - the US - has withdrawn. To allow the US to emit with impunity while making economic sacrifices oneself is no good bargain.

True, the history of global warming has been a sequence of declines or pauses of rate of temperature increase. No warming fitting the greenhouse gas theory here, boss.

Have you ever heard of an Austin? It wa slike the Prius of it's day.

My Dad used to tell me a little limerick about how small their cars were.

There once was a man from Boston,
Who bought himself an Austin.
He had room for his ass,
And a gallon of gas,
But his balls hung out and he lost'em.

Just as I thought. If the U.S. hadn't backed out of this monstrosity, we would be one of the few countries complying with its terms. International agreements with no enforcement mechanism are as worthless as the paper they are written on.

Following President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord, a number of other nations have quietly begun ignoring the Paris energy goals, according to a new report out of Canada. According to Lawrence Solomon of Energy Probe, a Toronto-based environmental organization, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is one of the only signers of the Paris agreement who is actually abiding by the exacting demands of the accord. Meanwhile, Solomon notes in an essay in Friday’s Financial Post, “most signatories are ignoring, if not altogether abandoning Paris commitments, undoubtedly because voters in large part put no stock in scary...
Ah yes, paid denier claims victory for those paying him. Nothing to see here, folks, just another steaming pile pinched off by the deniers.
I see that you are a climategate denier.

The US has reduced CO2 emissions to levels last seen in the 1990's. Your assertion is false.

And according to this graph you so nicely presented we still haven't recovered fully from the LIA. The MWP was at least one degree C warmer than the present day. In fact in my local area it was 2.3 degree's C warmer.

Breitbart. Piece of shit source with a vested interest in lying.

You just described the AGW cabal to a T. They are looking to make TRILLIONS of dollars for doing nothing other than shifting sheets of paper from one side of the room to the other. Talk about a vested interest in lying. It's the biggest scam in human history. And you've bought it, hook, line and sinker.

Provably untrue but lying is what you religious fanatics do. There is no 99% "consensus for one, it is 74 of 79 biased climatologists who generated that particular lie. Until you can admit that fact you are nothing more than a useless idiot.

I suppose we'll have to take your word on that. On the other hand, satellite shows that temperature has been flat or dclining for the last 20 years. We had a very cool summer where I live. I don't think it ever reached 90. We had many weeks in the 70s in June, July and august.

That's cool, but are you willing to force others to do that? If so, how would you force them to?
We do like other countries, days with no cars give incentives tax breaks to manufacturers of electric cars.

I think one of the main reasons we have obesity problem, people just don't walk or ride bicycles. A city where I live is ultra liberal, they put bikes everywhere for people to use for a small fee....its working perfectly.

Cheaper than a silverado, and are trucks and SUV's for sure....Nissan leaf, Prius, And so many hybrids....and Tesla now with state incentives and tax credits. And on top of that no gas money, it'll save you thousands a year.

We used to have gasoline cars that got better mileage than the Prius. All the safety regulations government has imposed have made cars much heavier and less fuel efficient. In Europe you can get diesal cars that get 78 miles to the gallon. Not here.

That's all testimonial evidence. It doesn't mean shit. These people have all been bombarded with warmist propaganda for the last 20 years.
