this isn't rocket science, RSR...it is basic math. 51 is less than 60. In the senate, you need 60 votes to stop debate and move a question.

I think it WAS OK.... but you asked why the senate had not passed anything and I answered you.

The point is: AMerica put democrats in the majority and the number one reason was to change course in the Iraq war. Republicans in congress have prevented that from happening. THAT is why republican caucus congressional approval is lower than democratic caucus congressional approval.

We can live with the 60 vote rule...unfortunately, about 100 GI's a month WON'T live because of the 60 vote rule. America knows that. If the war is not over or going swimmingly really soon, even congressional republicans will start jumping ship en masse.
