Hmmmmmmmm: From December 2007, when the recession began, to May of this year, 6.0 million U.S. workers lost their jobs. The big three U.S. automakers are closing plants and letting white-collar workers go too.

Chrysler, the worst off of the three laid off one-quarter of its workforce

Heavy equipment manufacturer Caterpillar and giant banking conglomerate Citigroup have both laid off thousands of workers. Alcoa, the aluminum maker, has let workers go. Computer maker Dell and express shipper DHL have both canned many of their workers.

Circuit City, the leading electronics retailer, went out of business, costing its 40,000 workers their jobs. Whoaaaaaaaa

Lawyers in large national firms are getting the ax. Even on Sesame Street workers are losing their jobs." Not good...

Which is to say the recession was well underway long before 2007. Recessions take sometime and planning in order for them to be realized. And still the RINO's pretend to be the economic giants of our time.

Just like when Reagan/Bush screwed over the savings and loan institutions plus the lost retirement accounts of millions which put millions of golden agers back into the job market to supplement social security.

Guess what...many many many golden agers lost their retirement plans after they had retired. Then found themselves scrambling for jobs to supplement their social security. So so many found themselves using Medicare suddenly.

This all sounds so familiar to what GW/Cheney left behind.

And whom was in control of the Congress then?

Granted W doesn't get a pass...but hey? You're quick to just blame ONE side.

Hint? Look deeper to stop your reputation of being a superficial partisan HACK.

Until then? Threads you foist will continue to FAIL...just like you.

Republicans were in charge when this mess was well underway. They did not talk much about their plan to wreck the economy with worthless home loans.

Paulson could have stopped this fraudulent activity because he had the power to do so.
None of this had to get underway. Repubs were the enforcement arm.

Granted democrats should have known repubs cannot be trusted after what Reagan/Bush pulled off. It does piss me off that the democrats sat back and trusted a Bush/Cheney/Paulson team. They should have known better.

Furthermore it pisses me off that the democrats have not called for a grand jury and a special prosecutor. And it pisses me off that the democrats have not put these crooks in prison.

What in the hell were the democrats thinking?

It's is odd that republicans go to any length to deny their choices have taken our country down the tubes.

Repubs scream tax cuts then force taxpayers to bail out mismanaged corporations

Repubs scream tax cuts then march off to war for oil aka trillion dollar subsidies

Repubs scream tax cuts then they won't leave the big government payroll with socialized
medical insurance.

Repubs scream out tax cuts yet the country has lost millions of jobs = tax cuts do not create new industry nor new jobs

SAME could be said of Obama and the Statist Progressive Democrats for almost tripling down on it.

All hail Obama!
All hail Obama!
All hail Obama!.....

11,000,000 people were out of work when Obama reported for work as president yet the repubs would say NO NO NO NO NO to any job proposal.

Cuz repubs still say TAX BREAKS TAX BREAKS TAX BREAKS TAX BREAKS TAX BREAKS
which have no history of creating jobs by the millions in the USA.

It's time for democrats to put people back to work. Because as has proven by both Reagan/Bush and Bush/Cheney the repub expertise looks like:

1. Job Losses Job Losses and more job losses

2. Bail outs /bail outs/ bail outs/ bail outs / bail outs Can we say that both Reagan/Bush and Bush/Cheney home loan frauds required trillions in bailouts....

isnt it interesting how Democrats get Congress back and the economy soon after takes a dive?

That's not to excuse President Bush for any of his actions. I just think it's interesting.

Isn't it interesting that some believe that the home loan fraud impact can be reversed with the stroke of a pen.

How can anyone put 11 million back to work overnight with the party that oversaw the banking fraud perpetually working against employment?
