"While we all condemn the atrocities in Syria, the United States was not attacked," Paul said in a statement shortly after reports that the U.S. had launched more than 50 Tomahawk cruise missiles against an airfield in Syria.

"The President needs congressional authorization for military action as required by the Constitution, and I call on him to come to Congress for a proper debate," Paul said. "Our prior interventions in this region have done nothing to make us safer, and Syria will be no different."

What bullshit. He warned them ahead of time. Zero casualties. Trump needed to look tough. Who will he bomb next without congressional approval?

And none of us liberals are saying Trump did the wrong thing. What we are saying is Republicans are hypocrites. And we want to know why Republicans aren't upset that Trump didn't seek Congressional approval?

Well, yes, another case of Trump saying on thing and doing another. But people are so used to this now it's got boring.

Nothing in the constitution about congressional approval to go to war. Declaration, yes, but both parties have ignored that for decades.

Yes, he should go to Congress and debate it in open session for 8 to 10 months. Then if they decide to launch Congress could make him give the date and hour of the attack. Let's face it, half the Congressmen on both sides can't be trusted with a secret.
