The NRA convention is a very large event, with expected attendance in the range of 70,000 to 80,000 persons, and will sprawl multiple venues. At the primary venue, Music City Center, gun owners with proper carry permits can indeed bring their guns with them during the association's convention. However, one of the auxiliary venues, the Bridgestone Arena (which will be hosting an NRA-sponsored concert by country music artist Alan Jackson and comedian Jeff Foxworthy), is a private venue that prohibits the possession of firearms,

So? What about the event that was full of good guys with guns? Why didn't it happen?

I france they use trucks and kill 80+, only to be stopped by a good guy with a gun. Perhaps if they didn't have bans on guns, some other good guy would have killed him after the first two or three were killed. That's why they don't try that kind of thing in Texas.

SOMETIMES the "good guy" is the guy that realizes that his gun would only lead to confusion and so he leaves it in his holster.

why do you people have to be so binary? Sometimes the correct choice is to shoot at whomever is shooting at you , and sometimes the correct choice is to let the police handle it. When the police are RIGHT there, that is probably always the better choice.
