I'm no Moderator, but I once spent the night at a Holiday Inn Express.

The [OP] after your name signifies that you started the thread. You created the "Opening Post" ...you are the "Opening Poster".

It will follow your name throughout your thread. It will not follow your name in other threads (that you do not start).
