Here in west Michigan we get a syndicated morning radio show hosted by a conservative guy named Steve Gruber. One of his regular callers is a guy he's dubbed as Liberal Lee, for obvious reasons. LL called in a week or so ago in full rant mode about the need to ban all assault weapons, and at the time I was wondering why Steve was letting him carry on the way he was. As it turned out though he was just giving Lee enough rope to hang himself, as the saying goes.

Finally though Gruber entered the conversation and asked him a couple of simple questions along the lines of...What is an assault weapon? Can you define an assault weapon, how it works when someone's shooting it? Liberal Lee had no idea of course, so Steve tried to make it easier for him by asking when the trigger is pulled how many rounds does an assault weapon fire? Oh, that was an easy one I'm sure Lee thought, as he then went on to describe a machine gun, not an assault weapon. Needless to say Gruber went on to tear his arguments to shreds and highlight how stupid it was for Lee to be banging the drum so loudly when in fact he didn't know a damn thing about that which he was campaigning for.

Lee reminds me of a lot of low information lefties, on here and elsewhere.
