Pope Francis' Encyclical On Climate Change Leaked...

He has a chemical technician certificate. He is not a scientist.
.

The Pope, Rick Santorum, and Star agree - science should be left to the scientists.

.
The Blue Pope™ was a chemist prior to entering the seminary. So he probably has a leg up on Santorum, science-wise. And several legs up on Santorum, holiness-wise.

Although I will give Santorum the prize for sanctimony.
He had a degree in chemistry in the 1950s. I dont think that qualifes anyone to talk about climate change in the 21st century.
He is obviously a communist and needs to be burned as a heretic.

Was it Jon Stewart who said Santorum got it right but doesn't know why he got it right? That really nails just how clueless he is.

What Pope Francis should do to really help the poor:

How can we best aid the world's most vulnerable?

Pope Francis's concern for the poor is clear, so it is understandable that climate change is the topic of his forthcoming Encyclical — a Papal letter that is sent out to the world. Climate change will hit the most destitute people first and worst.

But the Pope after his letter is officially published, he should tread carefully. The climate policies of today will do little for the poor.

A cruel truth is that almost every significant challenge on Earth hits the poor more than the wealthy: hunger, a lack of clean drinking water, malaria, indoor air pollution. The question then is how we make the most difference for the most vulnerable.

A reasonable starting point is to listen to the world's citizens. A United Nations survey of 7.5 million people found that many other issues are deemed more urgent. The top priorities were education, health, jobs, corruption and nutrition. Of 16 problems, the climate was rated the lowest priority.

One reason may be that today's climate policies themselves have a cost, which predominantly hits the poor.

It means he understands the scientific method and the rigors of empirical evidence required to support a scientific theory.

Better than Santorum.
The fact that he signed on to global warming indicates the exact opposite. No one with a knowledge of the scientific method believes in global warming.
Here's another article you will neither read nor understand that lays out the case.
Aliens Cause Global Warming A Lecture by Michael Crichton Heartland Institute

I have spent my life in the maths and sciences, so there is nothing you could possibly comprehend that I wouldn't. This much we have learned many times on this forum.

The musings of a science fiction writer is not how a scientific theory is debunked. Sorry! Crichton has committed serious errors in previous papers. He has no serious standing in the community.

The sad reality is so have the climatologists pushing this crap. They seem unable to do basic math!

LOL! Argumentum ad hominem. Another fail from you.
And btw, I wouldn't count calculating the amount of bleach you need to scrub toilets as "spending your life in maths and science."

Given renewable power is now cheapest for the poor, anyone not pushing, like the deniers, is being proudly genocidal. If a billion have to die in the name of their authoritarian-progressive denier cult, that's a price deniers are willing to have someone else pay.

What's the denier ultimate goal here? In the afterlife, deniers want to approach their life-mentor Stalin and brag about how deniers built up a bigger body count than Stalin did. They want to give the Darth Vader "Now I am the Master" speech.

There will be a small piece of Catholic vote switching to the democrats, further dooming the GOP in 2016. Not a lot of it, as many American Catholics display more allegiance to death, lies and the Republican party than to life, honesty and the Catholic church. They are lost to Satan. However, some Catholics will be swayed to the side of light by the upcoming anti-Catholic bigotry that much of the protestant wing has kept repressed these years. Now that the pope isn't on their side, that bigotry won't be repressed any more.

Ah.. NO!

He took courses as a lab assistant and never finished.. Rather funny to watch libs here try and lie about the Popes training... He has a high school level understanding and worked for some time as a lab assistant..

Santourm would run circles around the Pope.

Pope also said to go make more babies, because that's compatible with progress.. If the plan was to absolve the Church of their science history and make friends with Watermelon Ecos --- he didn't quite get it right.

Truth is --- life in those "wastepiles" or whatever he called them has more to do with #kids/family coming down into the single digits than it does with $capitalism...

Officially now a religion AGW is -- 'bout time eh? Also about time capitalists stopped funding the organizations that hate them.. Just sayin'......

Francis is Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, and he is infallible when he speaks ex cathedra on faith and morals.

Global warming is not a faith issue and it is not a morals issue. It is a politicized and fraudulent attack on the world economy to force a global, socialist solution to a problem that really doesn't exist.

Why would socialists want to attack the world economy?

maybe the pope can explain the winter of 2014/2015? being he seems to know it all.
Mr. Rexx Taylor, there is nothing to explain. With the CO2 levels at 400+ ppm and the CH4 levels at 1800+ ppb, the winter of 2014-2015 was the warmest on record. That your little neck of the woods saw a bit it cold does not change that fact.

Maybe "science should be left to the scientists" but the word "scientist" is a nice generic term that the radical left doesn't have to think about it. How much of a science background did the guru of global warming, Al Gore have? The Pope might be an honorable man but he is in way over his head trying to compete on a geo-political scale with the propaganda experts. Maybe the climate is changing and maybe the world is getting cooler but blaming the Sun wouldn't advance any political agenda or put a buck in in a hypocrite's pocket so they are stuck with the "warming" stuff.
Global warming has little to do with science and a lot to do with politics, and religion. Notice that the same people who push global warming are the same people pushing income inequality as an issue.
Mr. Rabbi, you state that, yet all the Scientific Societies, all the National Academies of Science, and all the major Universities state just the opposite. Now who are we to believe, an anonymous poster on the internet, or the scientists, and even the Pope? I would have to say the the moral and intellectual authority on the side of science far outweighs the intellect you have brought to this debate.

Early Life and Education
Jorge Mario Bergoglio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 17, 1936, to Italian immigrants. As a teenager, Bergoglio underwent surgery to remove a lung due to serious infection. Following his high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of Buenos Aires, where he earned a degree in chemistry before beginning training at the Jesuit seminary of Villa Devoto. In March 1958, he entered the Society of Jesus.

Bergoglio went on to attend the Philosophical and Theological Faculty of San Miguel, where he earned a degree in philosophy, and later received a doctorate in theology in Freiburg, Germany.

GOP Catholics more convinced about climate change than other Republicans

Culling information from six national polls taken over the period from 2012 through 2015, the Yale and George Mason teams looked in particular at Catholic Republicans and how their climate views stood out within their own party.

The result was that even in a party known for its climate change skepticism, this group appeared less skeptical of climate science and more in favor of climate action.

Of non-Catholic Republicans, who will henceforth be referred to in this topic as pagans ( :D ), 42 percent agree global warming is happening.

Of Catholic Republicans, 51 percent agree global warming is happening.

A scientific theory requires evidence to support the theory or better yet the hypothesis that turns into the theory requires testing and observed results of testing that proves the hypothesis and then it becomes a theory. Now, do you have any evidence to support global warming is caused by CO2?

Are the volumes upon volumes of evidence provided by science unavailable to you that you need me to funnel it to you, or have you been clamping your hands over your eyes all this time?

What happens when you do a search for the evidence? Does the government intercept your request and throw up a 404 page? Is there some kind of bizarre conspiracy working against you accessing it?

I cannot think of a rational explanation for why you have failed to encounter this evidence up to this point.

just post up one of those. Or can't you do that? Just curious. One can write anything on a message board it's something else to back up the statements. So provide one. Just one that validates that adding 120 PPM of CO2 changes temperatures. That one is the one I'd prefer to see.
