POLL: The GOP and "Socialism"

How long before the Right realizes the term "socialism" no longer scares people?

That's just a lie, Joe. Socialist countries don't have the money to pay for expensive procedures. People die in Canada and the UK all the time on wait lists. Do you ever read?

Yeah, but I read things other than Insurance company propaganda.

Here's the thing. Canada and the UK have lower infant mortality rates and higher life expectencies than we do... because they make sure everyone has coverage and people don't have to choose between medicines and food.

Again, you don't know basic business terminology, Joe. Sure, it's true that reducing costs increases profit, but no one refers to cutting a cost as making profits

Guy, clearly, most companies that actually purchase more than the services of the cleaning lady weekly, cost reductions are big driver in profits... which is why the pressure was always on us to find more ways to cut costs.

Nowhere did Cigna order an employer to drop her from coverage, Joe. I never said insurance companies don't do anything wrong. I said you're full of shit they told your employer to fire certain people

You missed the point, buddy. Cigna argued in court that her father had no standing, as their contract was with his employer, not him

That doesn't support your claim that Cigna told her employer to fire her. You just keep throwing more crap against the wall hoping something sticks. She could have socialized insurance that would have agreed to cover her, then put her on a wait list until she'd been dead for five years.

I actually worked with insurance companies setting up policies for my businesses. That isn't how it works, you don't what the hell you're talking about

And, yeah, the first bunch of downsizing at this company I worked for was anyone who had a major medical issue in the previous year.

One anecdotal case with no evidence it even had anything to do with the medical procedure. Your surgery was elective. Why should other people pay for it?

kaz does not realize that what kaz means by socialism is not, in fact, socialism, thus he cannot talk about the OP.

Sure, Joe. You go to work and have a good attitude and only have a bad attitude when you come home. No one does that. Sometimes the reverse happens for people who hate their jobs. But no one has a good attitude at work and a bad one the rest of the time

My attitude is wonderful all the time.

That I see you as a piece of shit.. well, fuck Jesus and Ghandi would call you a piece of shit.

:ack-1::ack-1::ack-1::ack-1::ack-1:

You have a good attitude?

:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

Funny, everyone tells me I have a good attitude other than leftists on message boards. I wonder if there's a connection there ...

Except there was a liver available for her that day... Cigna refused to pay for it.

I imagine any policy you set up involved, "If you lose a leg, we'll help you look for it!"

One anecdotal case with no evidence it even had anything to do with the medical procedure. Your surgery was elective. Why should other people pay for it?

Because I paid for insurance and my Doctor said it wasn't "elective".

So, Kaz, you going to keep stalking me or talk about the subject of the thread?

Socialized medicine isn't the subject of the thread? Socialism should scare the crap out of people. You just don't grasp how socialized medicine doesn't work

Once again, socialism is not what kaz thinks is socialism.

kaz is very confused about that word.

Funny, everyone tells me I have a good attitude other than leftists on message boards. I wonder if there's a connection there ...

Really, guy, because honestly, you are kind of a piece of shit who tries to portray selfishness as a virtue.

Right. I want to keep the money I earned, that's selfish. You want other people to pay your bills, you're not selfish. You've explained this to me before.

What should scare people is not the word socialist, it's the implication of the fact that you are socialists.

Again, what kind of corporation do you have? A "C" corp? An "S" corp?

How do you pay yourself from your corporation, do you issue yourself a paycheck from your company? Or just pass the money through to yourself?

What tax advantages do you leverage from your business?

You can't answer those because it would prove you're making it up

Right. I want to keep the money I earned, that's selfish. You want other people to pay your bills, you're not selfish. You've explained this to me before.

No, I've explained to you that a decent and just society doesn't let children die of treatable diseases because the rich are greedy.

I'm sorry you don't get this.

What should scare people is not the word socialist, it's the implication of the fact that you are socialists.

Sorry, guy, it's just not all that scary because frankly, most of us, Capitalism is a Shit Sandwich. Certainly for the 40% of the population that lives below the poverty line. Probably for most of us who have to work two jobs to just keep a roof over our heads.

Again, what kind of corporation do you have? A "C" corp? An "S" corp?

And he's back to stalking

Because I paid for insurance and my Doctor said it wasn't "elective".

Again you're proving that you know nothing about business. My employees paid for the insurance, not me. You think companies pay for your benefits. No, we count it all as your pay. I mean I get that knowing nothing about business you didn't know that. But I've explained it to you before. How do you not sit back and say wow, I guess they would. Your cost is EVERYTHING we pay to have you as an employee. You get nothing for free.

I ended the insurance when socialized medicine in the name Obamacare came and made their medical care too high a percentage of their pay. So I ended the plan and rolled the money into their pay.

You still think companies give employees things for free, LOL. And you claim to be a big business typhoon. Hilarious.

If you think your insurance stinks now, wait until you get socialized medicine and you pay higher taxes, higher insurance and get no coverage at all. That you are socialists should scare the shit out of people

Right. I want to keep the money I earned, that's selfish. You want other people to pay your bills, you're not selfish. You've explained this to me before.

Exactly, you don't know what kind of corporation you have because you don't have a corporation. You don't know how to answer the question because you don't know the implications of the answer

"you pay higher taxes, higher insurance and get no coverage at all" is TrumpCare, kaz.

Right. I want to keep the money I earned, that's selfish. You want other people to pay your bills, you're not selfish. You've explained this to me before.

No, I've explained to you that a decent and just society doesn't let children die of treatable diseases because the rich are greedy.

I'm sorry you don't get this.

So you're not selfish because you want to take guns and money from "the rich" to pay for people's medical care including yours because you aren't greedy. Gotcha.

That's what socialism is. You want to take money from the rich and let children die on waiting lists because you care so much.

And that you care about people is actually pretty funny, Joe. You HATE people. You only care about yourself. Your posts are so clear on that.

Do you notice the biggest dicks on message boards are always socialists who claim they are socialists to care about other people?

So what kind of corporation do you have, Joe? A "C" Corp? It's hilarious how you answer all the questions until you start hitting the ones that would prove you're lying

Again you're proving that you know nothing about business. My employees paid for the insurance, not me. You think companies pay for your benefits. No, we count it all as your pay.

Thats been my point all along, my little stalking friend. Employees work for insurance. So when - get this- we get sick or or doctor says we need an operation, we should get that, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

This really isn't complicated.

xactly, you don't know what kind of corporation you have because you don't have a corporation. You don't know how to answer the question because you don't know the implications of the answer

I just sign what my tax guy puts in front of me. I don't tell him how to do my taxes, he doesn't tell me how to write resumes... its' a pretty good arrangement.

Also, honestly, I've just gotten tired of answering your stalking, since you just make up lies anyway.

So you're not selfish because you want to take guns and money from "the rich" to pay for people's medical care including yours because you aren't greedy. Gotcha.

That's what socialism is. You want to take money from the rich and let children die on waiting lists because you care so much.

Except there arent' waiting lists because of single payer. Even Charlie Gard got top notch medical treatment even though there was absolutely no hope of recovery.

Oh, I want to take guns from everyone because 33,000 gun deaths a year. We banned lawn darts after a few deaths.

Of course insurance companies don't pay claims no questions asked, they have to verify that you're covered for the procedure you're asking for. You still think insurance is binary. You have it or you don't and if you have it they have to pay for everything. That isn't how insurance works.

In socialism, you're covered for everything. However, they don't pay anything. Just like Obamacare which costs more and more every year even though it doesn't pay anything.

I just sign what my tax guy puts in front of me

OK, so that would mean that you are a sole proprietor. You don't have a corporation. If you had a corporation, an attorney would set that up, not your accountant. And if you had a corporation, you would also need to file business taxes every year, and pay your accountant to do that. Since you said you don't know what you have, your accountant handles it, sole proprietor is the only option.

I know a lot more about corporations than sole proprietorships, but:

- So you're wrong that it helps you with social security and medicare taxes, you still have to pay double (employer and employee portions)

- You can deduct your medical insurance, that's probably your biggest benefit

- If you're only signing and not helping the accountant, you're probably leaving a lot of business expenses on the table.

Also, your taxes are so simple, you're wasting your money paying an accountant. You could do it all in Turbo Tax and save a bunch of money
