Pense says it's a smear!

Gov. Pence did an excellent job with his comments and Q&A today.

Bottom line: the law was not intended to legitimize discrimination. It is similar to the Federal law and laws in other states.

The Moonbat Media misrepresented the situtation (gee, quelle surprise on that one). Pence is quite properly doing damage control to fend off baseless and vicious attacks. So, when Indiana passes an anti-discrimination provision, the Prog Loons will just find some other thing about which to lie.

The real story here is that the Progs see that Indiana has turned red, and they are increasingly desperate regarding their prospects for 2016.

Indiana has always been red, in 2008 there was an abnormality and they voted blue but the good people of Indiana quickly saw through the fraud we have in the WH

Of course it is. This law is the same as the federal law.

The gay mafia will only obey the laws it wants to obey. Then make up their own for others to obey.

Indiana's law is less strict than Connecticut's....why isn't the left "boycotting" Connecticut?
because ....
Lambda Legal Applauds Connecticut Court for Extending Protections against Harassment to Gay Workers Lambda Legal
the court ruled?

What does that have to do with the governor.

Never mind. I cant deal with idiots that debate a law they did not read.

Anyone who had an issue with this law did not read it. That is fact.
The governor signed the law allowing for private discrimination against gays when there was no law protecting employment discrimination. If a state has employment protections, there's generally no great uproar about a separate law protecting the bakers.

Where does the law mention homosexuals. Why are you not bawling about Conneticut's law which is even more strict than Indiana's? Until you do you're all a bunch of bawl baby, whiny ass hypocrites and anyone with a lick of sense knows it.
that's the irony. It does not mention gays.

Gays want them to be mentioned in the law.....they want to be different. They want to be isolated.

Heck....thankjs to the rhetoric and political bullshit...the gays don't even know what they want anymore.

If the law as written was good, why is he amending the law?

Because of Leftwing hysteria that has convinced low information types that the law says something that it doesn't. The best way to combat it is clear language that says what it isn't intended to allow.

The Governor of Indiana blamed the media for the "misperceptions" of the new law, and vows to fix it this week. So he's not going to change the law, he's just trying to get away with the law, by coning the country into believing that it doesn't discriminate. It will still allow businesses to refuse service for religious reasons, though they will have to defend their actions in court. Back door bigotry.

It's obvious that the heat made Pense address the outrage in a media interview today. But I think he only doubled down on GOP stupidity, and that will become clear today, when the media has a field day with his blaming them, instead of admitting his miscalculation. The GOP has been exposed as the party of bigots, and now they are going to spend a lot of time doing damage control, or embrace their bigotry. This is really going to be fun to see.

It's Pence... not Pense.

Pense seems...pensive. :)
He's definitely tap-dancing as fast as he can.
Indiana is not going to repeal the law, take your hate to the other 19 states have similar laws and see if you can get them to bow down to you
Of course they aren't. And "similar" doesn't mean "the same".....your English lesson for today.

The hilarious part is if the homos hadn't started their ridiculous demands about cakes and suing people this wouldn't had happened.

hahahaha! You're the one that can't figure out how this law is different from every other religious freedom law.

What's even more hilarious is that if the fundies back when Anita Bryant was queen had kept their mouths shut about teh ghey, gay marriage wouldn't exist now.

Hahaha! You're the one who can't handle that Indiana is willing to make it clear that the law wasn't intended to discriminate against gays.

I know you're disappointed. Perhaps tormenting some small animal will cheer you up.

he is changing the language so political hacks cant intentionally misconstrue what it says. He made that clear. He is not changing the law.

The law was basic....simple.....assholes like you are forcing changes in the wording so you cant be assholes about it.

That's all he is doing.

THE LAW WILL REMAIN THE SAME AS IT SHOULD. THE WORDS ARE CHANGING.

Are you in the area?

Indiana was warned repeatedly by a flock of lawyers of the actual meaning of this idiotic law. And they went ahead and passed it anyway. If the business world hadn't thrown a hissy fit, Past Tense Pence wouldn't have to amend the law.

:)

In other words, you cant handle the truth or you are not intelligent enough to understand the truth.

He did not say he was changing the law. He said that the wording was misconstrued by those who wanted to misconstrue it, such as members of the national media...so he has decided to allow the legislature to change the wording WITHOUT CHANGING THE LAW so people can not INTENTIONALLY or UNINTENTIONALLY misconstrue what it says.
