I would like to support this site, but PayPhuker is the only option y'all allow???

For some oblivious reason,
it wants to FORCE me to link a credit card to my name,
but won't accept a valid DEBIT card from me.

Is there any other way for me to subscribe?

Paypal is the safest option. I'd go with it. There is nothing to complain about.

Well, if you don't have a valid credit card, there is a way for them to verify you through your bank.

That is oblivious -- I've used PayPal for years, including before I had any credit card at all. They'll link to a debit card and/or directly to a checking account.

And I have to say, the few times I've needed help on the phone, their customer service has been absolutely outstanding in every way.

I have a VALID, plenty of money, DEBIT card,
which I have NO PROBLEM using, everywhere but PayPhucker ~

IT'S A DEBIT CARD, so they KNOW, instantly, that there's enough money in the acc't,
and most businesses don't care that my husband uses that card, also ~
evidently, those businesses HAVE heard of joint bank accounts.

If you want folks to donate to your efforts?
And you have folks that WANT to donate?

It occurs to me that perhaps you might want to offer those folks some choices,
not ridicule them over a glitch in the payment system you're currently using.

Nobody's "ridiculing" you. Get a grip already. We're just sharing our experiences. And we're not the site here-- we're the users.

Again, your debit card should work, since it works for other people, and as I noted, a checking account can be used as well. If that's not working, it should be, so you might want to call their customer service (888/221-1161 or 402/935-2050) and work it out on the phone, because, as I also said, their customer service is absolutely stellar. Quit whining that you took a post the wrong way and just do it.

next time you are at the grocery.... get a vanilla visa card.....

You can mail a check to Forum Foundry, and include your User Name, so they know which Member Account to credit.

I use PayPal almost every day and have for years - no problems.

But, this brings up a question I've wanted to ask for a while -

Why would anyone pay to post on a message board? Obviously, I'm missing something here but I've looked at the "benefits" and I'm not feeling it.

Maybe some who are paid members wouldn't mind saying what they get out of it ...?

Subscription is free. If you don't want to use PayPal to make a freewill donation, you may write USMB a check and mail it to their address. Contact an administrator who will be happy to email you the address to send a donation to.
