Missing the point - the modern practice of Christianity, Christmas, Easter, symbols and practices all borrow heavily from paganism.

Many modern evangelicals are taught such a distorted history of Christianity and how the Bible was written and edited -- it's important that when practicing a religion you understand the origins of the traditions.

Many of today's customs used by Christians can be traced back to the 4th century, when Constantine permitted the process of converting the official religion of the Roman Empire from Paganism to Christianity.

Vow of Silence

Pythagoreans from around 530 B.C. took the practice of silence seriously; breaking the vow of silence carried the death penalty. And the priestess-guardians of the sacred Roman fire, the Vestal Virgins, lived in silence for years at a time.

Vidar, son of Odin, was the Norse god of silence and there was a minor Roman goddess of silence called Muta, from which we get the word 'mute'.

Chants

Songs in the form of chants, poems, and later as hymns, cantatas, anthems, oratorios or motets, are useful mnemonic methods. I backed up what I said with Gods word. Read those two scriptures.
The table of demons are all over the world--Hollywood, music, video games, cartoons, 1 cor 6:9-11, Galations 5:19-21--both teach those who do these things--will not enter Gods kingdom. besides other things ---Jesus taught to be no part of this world( traditions, celebrations, etc) filled with pagan practices or killing.
2 Cor 11:12-15---these teachers do not warn the flock of the prevalent table of demons 99% are partaking of.

The holy days of the RCC are pretty much the same holy days for Satanists. There are calendars available to confirm that on the internet.

Original Christianity was exterminated by the early Catholic church. Thus what survives today is less anything having to do with Chritianity or what Jesus taught, and more about what Catholicism wanted perpetuated. Paganism is an umbrella term, like Christianity is despite encompassing hundreds of different denominations. The biggest is Wicca, and they do not worship demons. They're even recognized by the Army Chaplain's Manual (along with Church of Satan so when Muslims call us the great Satan, they're not all-wrong.)
