Pa Cops Ambushed By Angry Loon

Why is he a loon? The article didn't mention the nature of his anger at the police.

When I think of the word 'survivalist', the first thing that comes to mind is paranoid. But I have a CCW in five states and NYC, so some may call me a survivalist, and I'm anything but paranoid.

I think the answer is five percent. Five percent of any sociological group are in some form wacked. Truly this guy is wacked.

Police wrapping themselves in glory - SWAT teams raid barbershops to check on licenses:

On August 19, 2010, two inspectors from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) visited the Strictly Skillz Barbershop in Orlando and found everything in order: All of the barbers working there were properly licensed, and all of the work stations complied with state regulations. Two days later, even though no violations had been discovered and even though the DBPR is authorized to conduct such inspections only once every two years, the inspectors called again, this time accompanied by "between eight and ten officers, including narcotics agents," who "rushed into" the barbershop "like [a] SWAT team." Some of them wore masks and bulletproof vests and had their guns drawn. Meanwhile, police cars blocked off the parking lot.

The officers ordered all the customers to leave, announcing that the shop was "closed down indefinitely." They handcuffed the owner, Brian Berry, and two barbers who rented chairs from him, then proceeded to search the work stations and a storage room. They demanded the barbers' driver's licenses and checked for outstanding warrants. One of the inspectors, Amanda Fields, asked for the same paperwork she had seen two days earlier, going through the motions of verifying (again) that the barbers were not cutting hair without a license (a second-degree misdemeanor). Finding no regulatory violations or contraband, the officers released Berry and the others after about an hour.

Although ostensibly justified as a regulatory inspection, the raid on Strictly Skillz, like similar sweeps of other barbershops that same day, was part of an operation hatched by Fields and Cpl. Keith Vidler of the Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), who hoped to find drugs, "gather intelligence," and "interview potential confidential informants." The barbershops chosen for the sweeps "were apparently selected because they or barbers within them had on previous occasions failed to cooperate with DBPR inspectors," the court says. "All of the targeted barbershops were businesses that serviced primarily African-American and Hispanic clientele."

There is no motive that could be justifiable. None! We do not shoot police officers. We do not shoot back at police officers. This is not the wild west. You obey the law irregardless. Settle the matter later on in court but obey the law.
Are you supposed to just let a Cop beat yer ass and wait for a Court date?

You supposed to just let a Cop beat on yer family or friends and then hope they survive so they can go to court?

As was already posted: Cops works for US. They are our Servants NOT our Masters.

Interesting how the father replied in an affidavit. It's like he's not really upset:
His father, Michael, a retired major in the U.S. Army with 28 years of service, told police that his son is an excellent marksman who “doesn’t miss,”

Recognize this fine fellow? He shares the anger, hate and alienation of some of our posters here and had the means and need to express them.

Survivalist sought in Pennsylvania state trooper ambush member of military simulation unit cops say Fox News

The survivalist suspect in the ambush killing of a Pennsylvania state trooper is a member of a military simulation unit based in the eastern part of the state and, in his frame of mind, appears to have assumed that role in real life, authorities said at a Wednesday press conference.''
"This was not unexpected," Bivens said. "As we've interviewed a number of people, that's been the common theme. This was not a surprise."

He's a loon. He altered his haircut before hand.

Suicide by cop?

Ya, when it comes down to it, there is no little shiny metal object over there or over here or little incidents along the way that justifies shooting cops. You have to be an imbecilic dick head ball-less keyboard warrior to spout that shit.

There is no reason to take their abuse and economic enslavement..

They always call white people crazy when they do stuff like this. They wont or cant admit its a normal occurrence with privileged white guys that feel their right to step on others is being slowly stripped and taken away.

"Normal' occurrence to shoot cops ? I'm a white guy, and I love my privilege and don't want to lose it, but I don't plan on shooting a cop any time soon.

So the citizens are "militarized"......but cops cant be?
Citizens are militarized in REACTION to the militarization of police.

Sorry, this is BS. The cops were not militarized.

Isn't it odd. I seriously doubt that the gun rights groups want to be judeged by the actions of a few. I seriously doubt they want to be known as the next person who will walk into a school or movie theater and unload their guns. No, I am sure they want to be known as the last protectors of freedom. Yet because of the excess of a few police departments they condemn the lot. The raid on the barbershop has already been found, in court, to be excessive.

Most things in life are like pendulums. Used to be that the cops had no real weapons other then their side arm. Then some nuts rob a bank in full body armor and hold off police with their AK7s standing in plain site. So what are the police to do in such a situation? They form SWAT team to deal with these types of situations. So the pendulum swings the opposite way towards excess in really very few situations.

With a better armed criminal what do you expect a cop to do?

We will be reading about you as soon as it hits you that your privilege is gone. Thats if you dont fall apart from the shock. Takes longer for some to admit it to themselves.

Perhaps I misspoke but I consider anyone who targets some cops to be a bit off.

Do you know about Civil Asset Forfeiture laws? Cops can take your possessions and not charge you with a crime. Right there I can see motive for someone to kill cops...

So the sometimes fucked-up nature of our legal system is just cause for us to randomly EXTERMINATE cops? I'm hoping when you sober up - as I now have - that you will revisit that post and reconsider what you said.

I didn't infer he is crazy but rather just a dime-a-dozen lunatic ... one who acts out the very dangerous silliness which rolls around in his head just to get his name Googlized.
You always assume everything is racial because you are a racialist.

The word lunatic denotes someone that is crazy or to be technically correct mentally ill. The brainwashing works on everyone. You just admitted you thought he was crazy but didn't realize it. I am not assuming this phenomenon is racial. I know it is. If the guy was Black he would have been labeled simply a dangerous criminal. I'm not a racialist because I dont believe one race is superior to others. Yes white people have made a lot of mistakes but that doesn't make them inferior.

Is that how you justify last week's MURDER of a PA state trooper? Clearly that Florida SWAT team acted improperly and the court - where rational peeps take their gripes - agrees:
"Law enforcement officers who conducted a warrantless SWAT-style raid on an Orlando barber shop, ostensibly to help inspectors conduct a routine occupational licensing exam, violated the proprietors’ 4th Amendment rights and are not protected from personal liability under the qualified immunity doctrine.
So ruled the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta on Tuesday, harshly condemning Orange County, Florida, officers for their 2010 raid of the Strictly Skillz barber shop..."

I admitted to perhaps having misused "loon" (see post #3) but lunatic, according to the M-W Dictionary, can also mean "wildly foolish" such as when describing the "lunatic fringe" to which the shooter appears to belong. I may have been a bit inebriated (temporary lunacy) last night but even drunk I'm not loony enough to attempt to justify the actions of that cop-killer as some (perhaps sober) here do.

You mean according to your assessment you aren't paranoid.
I'd say the lunatic fringe of any group varies from virtually negligible to 100% loon.
Adherents of the 9/11 and Sandy Hook conspiracy theory movements are, IMHO, in the latter range.
