Sad but unfortunately that was a risk.

One of the Teen Girls Who Joined the “Islamic State” Received Her Fate

It wasn’t unexpected, but that doesn’t make it any less sad.

The United Nations confirmed recently that one of two teenage girls who earlier this year ran away from their homes in Austria to join the largest group of radical Islamic terrorists in Iraq and Syria has died.

It was uncertain whether Samra Kesinovic, 17, or Sabina Selimovic, 15, had died. The other girl is reportedly missing.

Both had reached out to family members in Austria saying that they realized they had made a terrible mistake and wanted to come home, but were afraid of being ostracized by the families they had abandoned.

Their deaths have been reported many times previously, but this is the first time that the U.N. has confirmed such a report.

The two girls became poster children for the type of brainwashing that can occur when teens are exposed to radical Islamic extremists.

Kesinovic and Selimovic were both believed to have been converted to Islam by a Muslim leader who was later arrested over his ties to terror organizations, Mirsad O.

Unfortunately, their fate was not unique.

“If we can catch them before they leave we have the chance to work with their parents and other institutions to bring the youngsters out of the sphere of influence that prompted them to act in this way the first place,” Austrian Interior Ministry spokesman Alexander Marakovits told the UK Daily Mail (H/T Mad World News).

“Once they have left the country, even if they then changed their minds, it is then almost impossible to get them back,” he added.

Sabina told Paris Match via text message in October that rumors about her pregnancy were untrue and that she was happy in Syria with her new husband. She also said that she was only allowed to communicate with the magazine in his presence.

I wish this news were more surprising than it is, but these two girls left home to join the most brutal gang of violent barbarians in the Middle East, best known for raping, stealing, and beheading.

Unfortunately, the only surprising thing is that one of these teenage girls might still be alive.

Please share this article on Twitter and Facebook to spread the word about the danger of teens being exposed to radical Islam.
