Polls show that the overwhelming majority of US voters would not vote against a Muslim candidate because of his religion. On the other hand, if a candidate were to be discovered to have lied to voters for years about being a Muslim, it is likely his political career would be over, and there is some reason to wonder if this is the case with Obama.

I have heard him declare on more than one occasion that he is a "Christian" but judging from the church he attended and the sermons he heard there I tend to ruffle my eyebrows when I hear him say it.
