Obama tries new tactics with jobs plan

We all know that the GOP is willing to block any kind of jobs plan, in order to get Obama out of office. They ran in 2010 on jobs, jobs, jobs...but they are very quiet. They are unwilling to do anything to improve the economy. It is basically Party over Country...and you ultra-rights know it. They are throwing the unemployed under the bus, in order to win in 2012. :clap2:

Cut, Cap, Balance

With the passage of H.Res. 22, House Republicans led by example by cutting the House budget by 5%, saving $35 million annually.

House Republicans have banned all earmarks, which had come to signify the permissive spending culture of Washington.

House Republicans voted to reduce new spending by $2.6 trillion over ten years, and reduce the deficit by $700 billion with the passage of H.R. 2, the repeal of the job-destroying health care law.

The House passed H.R. 292, a Republican bill, to end the wasteful mandatory printing of bills introduced in Congress, saving over $30 million.

On January 26, 2011, the House passed H.R. 359 which terminates taxpayer financing of presidential election campaigns and party conventions.

On February 19, 2011, the House passed H.R. 1, the Continuing Appropriations Act for 2011, which, considered under an "open rule," gave lawmakers on both sides unprecedented access to offer spending-cut amendments. The end result eliminated over $100 billion in federal spending for the remainder of FY2011.

The republicans actually issued a real budget

In December 2010, the House passed and the President signed into law a bill to prevent all tax hikes for two years. This work continues to protect Americans from tax hikes that will destroy jobs.

Congressman Geoff Davis has introduced H.R. 10, the REINS Act, on January 20, 2011 which restricts unelected federal officials from imposing huge costs on the economy and American people through burdensome regulations. It is currently progressing through the legislative process.
