Well at least millions of Americans won't be cut off of food stamps, Medicaid and unemployment benefits which would have happened if the Romney had won the election.

I think it's highly hypocritical of you to complain about the millions of Americans who can't feed their families, when you would have had them cut off of the social benefits they're currently receiving which help them in that regard.

Obama has stiffed us for 4 years. We haven't had a pay increase since 08' and we haven't had a day off before Christmas since he was elected. Why he's doing it now even though we're broke I can't figure.

certainly no one can argue that Congress deserves a raise with the quality of work they are performing. And Biden getting a raise is probably Obama's way of making sure Biden doesn't put him back in chains.

My company, which is large, has already said there would be no raise until September, it then. They also told us that in 2014 we are being thrown onto the Obamacare (tax) exchanges to fend for ourselves. At least we have our grandchildren coming to pay for our excesses today.

President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden.

According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he'll now make $231,900 per year.

Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase.
