Hillary was WAY ahead on the polls, a sure 'landslide victory' for her. There was no need to step in and give the impression Obama was biased towards Hillary (as if there was ever any doubt). In a way, by continuing to run the fake news poll numbers showing Hillary way ahead, they ended up 'punking' Obama into inaction, preventing him from 'putting his big thumb on the scale' when she actually seriously needed him to do so.

Once it became obvious - too late - that Hillary was going to lose / had lost the election, the Obama administration, Democrats, snowflakes, and all-in fake news media began to push the conspiracy theories and false accusations.
