I am suggesting the GOP try to unplug their smear machine for a bit - constant poop throwing at Obama over petty stuff is hurting their image, BIG time, and wasting energy. They are puffing as much fartgas into another non-issue to give themselves the illusion that they are good and Obama is bad.
It s all the RWNs live for. All they are capable of doing, these days.
And it is why they have been voted out of political power.
They better get another game, 'cos this one isn't gonna attract the new voters they will need to hold on to whatever political power they have in the next election. America expects more, and will repudiate the GOP once again.
Unfortunately, I could be considered one of those "they", but I agree this is one of those issues that won't win them any votes. In fact, it would more than likely cost them votes if it were anywhere near an election.
I also agree, they need a new game or maybe an old one, but trying to beat democrats at their own game is not going to be a winning ticket either.

They need to start offerring up solutions and show themselves to be interested in America getting better.
Selling "NO!" and "Obstruction is good Policy!" to American voters in 2010 will be impossible, even if Obama 's policies aren't working as planned.
The American Peanut Corporation (that shipped all the salmonella poison product)
can't regain customers by embarking on a rigid campaign to smear and nitpick and bad mouth their competition, calling the other peanut companies Crappy.
Who would recommend such a marketting camapign ?
Apparently, the 2009 GOP leadership, the ones who inheritted the operation that damaged our entire nation.
The GOP needs to offer up a little contrition, accept responsibility, and to give America a positive image and positive plans, or voters will not even listen.
They need to do a 180, or will be reduced to being a longterm small minorty.
I completely agree, both re the GOP and APC.
