I don't remember one on this subject specifically, so if you can find it please let someone know.

As for the topic at hand, this happens, these trends. Some group feels threatened so their fringes start pushing too to gain strength through various campaigns. However the more they push, the harder they try to convert people to their ideals, the fewer people willing to listen to them. Usually the fringe who do push too hard become outcasts eventually, then maybe the rest of us can move on and get back to the "live and let live" way of life.
