(May 31) -- The first family celebrated Memorial Day with a trip to their hometown of Chicago, sleeping in their pre-White House red-brick home for the first time in more than a year.

President Barack Obama is expected back in Washington today, after honoring the nation's war dead with a speech before thousands at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill., south of Chicago.

Obama spent the weekend with family and friends, joining first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, at their Hyde Park home. The first family arrived Thursday, along with Michelle's mother, Marian Robinson, and the family dog, Bo.

President Barack Obama and his family take a walk in their Chicago neighborhood. For the holiday weekend, they stayed overnight in their Chicago home for the first time in more than a year.

In between briefings on the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama played basketball Saturday at his daughters' former school, the University of Chicago Lab School, according to The Associated Press.

The Obamas attended a holiday barbecue Saturday night hosted by longtime friend and neighbor, Marty Nesbitt, who lives across the street from Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Outside Nesbitt's home, members of the White House press pool clashed with Farrakhan followers who objected to reporters and photographers milling near Farrakhan's lawn, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The "stand-off" ended when the Obama family left the barbecue before 11 p.m.

Is that the same house that Rezko paid for with money he received from Iraq Oil for Food Fugitive Auchi?

Didn't Rezko's wife also give Obama $625,000 worth of adjacent land for $106,000?
