Yep.
That pretty much is screwed up.
No idea when anyone thinks states with a population of 600,000 should have the same weight as states with populations 20,000,000.
Same with the Electoral College.
2 very undemocratic processes in the Constitution.
This was not a concern of the President when he ran for and won Senate in 2004, when Democrats took the Senate in 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. Why and how is this being voiced by the President in 2014? Even if Republicans take the Senate in 2014, The President and the Democrats will have benefitted from the Founding Fathers vision more so than the Republicans when it comes to the Senate. A simple Thank You would be more appropriate vs. a smear and attack because one may not get his way.
To whom?
Personally? I've always thought the Senate was undemocratic and mirrored the "House of Lords".
It was even moreso before the 17th Amendment.
At least after that they actually had to win the vote.
Yes, the senate still has many vestiges of it's original purpose, to protect the rich from the rabble in a representative government.
