I don't live in fear....but worrying about abuse of government should be something every open-minded American should do. Other countries ether failed to recognize it when it was happening or agreed with it only to discover too late that they didn't have any choice anymore in the matter. That's how Venezuela, Cuba, Germany, Iran, Iraq, and various other countries ended up living under authoritarian rule.

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe the president or his administration can just sign a treaty without a vote in Congress affirming it, no?
