Obama Approval +5 ... Why?

I don't see the beef with the poll or Obama's numbers. Regardless of party, the potus will retain the 30% or so who will never support the other party.

Nodog is probably right in that the economy is limping along. Longterm rates may go higher later this year, Obama's going to drive up energy costs, and I strongly suspect a bear market.

come november we'll see how his approval rating really is. get ready to kiss the senate goodbye

whoa, it's a RISING out of the stratosphere

all of 5 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lets all bow

Considering that conservatives have been doing their damnest to break the government and destroy his presidency with scorched earth strategy?

They've managed to get the scorn of most Americans, slow the economic recovery, and in the end, will bolster Obama's popularity and assure that Clinton will win in 2016,

Ain't it grand?

:D

Pretty much.

You left out this little nugget.

"The latest figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 36% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12."

More people strongly disapprove than strongly approve.

By more than 10 points.

These are the states that have had their unemployment rates go down. Notice that most are states run by republican governors.

"Colorado (Hickenlooper - D): 6.2% (down 2.8 points since Dec. 2010)
Connecticut (Malloy - D): 7.4% (down 2 points)
Florida (Scott - R): 6.2% (down 4.9 points)
Georgia (Deal - R): 7.4% (down 2.8 points)
Illinois (Quinn - D): 8.6% (down 1.5 points)
Maine: 6.2% (LePage - R) (down 1.8 points)
Michigan (Snyder - R): 8.4% (down 2.9 points)
Ohio (Kasich - R): 7.2% (down 2 points)
Pennsylvania (Corbett - R): 6.9% (down 1.2 points)
South Carolina (Haley - R): 6.6% (down 4.1 points)
Wisconsin (Walker - R): 6.2% (down 1.6 points)"

Is the economy truly improving? Depends on which Republican you ask - First Read

Liberals put out their talking points and then they run with it. But if you lift up the curtain you can see the truth.

Obama Approval +5 ... Why?

Economy shrank last month.

Obama fucked up on the VA, the NSA, IRS, Obamacare and Bergdahl.

That is meaningless stat when the GOP and congress poll even worse than that.
