Obama and the Military

I agree the VA has a tough time handling what they already have.

That was my point, period. Yet you feel the need to keep up your diatribe. Whatever... I should have known better. Many people here won't respond to you because they know you're a little shit.

You guys don't want vets to get the funding for the care they need. That's the clear thing here. It isn't Obama, it's you. You acknowledge that the VA needs improvement but you snarl at the man who pushes for that.

Why don't you guys want to care for Vets ? Why are you so upset over all these vets groups getting MORE than they asked for ? Shouldn't you maybe be talking with your vets groups about this ? They asked for it.

I was in the Army 1964-1974 and my family has served for generations. I remember vividly what the Left in this country stirred up during the Vietnam period. Will not dredge it all up again or relate what happened to me an others when I returned at the end of 1968, but this latest misadventure of the Obama administration to transfer wounded veterans' healthcare to their responsibility is, as The Prophet would say, "deeply disappointing".

Putting aside the details, motivations and that it now appears to be off the table, think about the mentality of an administration that would let this kind of thing even be openly considered.

The sophism, cyncism, and arrogance of Obama and his crowd has finally reached me. Am going to start a message forum, and call him out at every turn.

...................................................................................................................................First, let me thank you for your service. I also served in the U.S. Army 1966-1971, two tours in Vietnam included. My original plan was to make a career out of the Army, but another endeavor beckoned me back in civilian territory. Indeed, coming back to the world was like being transported back to some alien world during that period in time. Nevertheless, many of us were faced with tangible proof that there were people in America who did not welcome Vietnam veterans. Rude awakening it was.

After my stint in the Army I took advantage of the GI Bill and signed up for some courses at a University here in my state. That's when my troubles began. The college faculty/professors and many students in attendence were made up of anti-war radicals, peaceniks, hippies ect;. For me, however, Vietnam was a noble cause and I'll never stray from my believing so, no matter what anyone says. Being an Indian and disparaged by professors claiming that I should be ashamed for serving my country... fighting in a white mans war was told to me on a frequent basis. My speaking out against them eventually resulted in my being escorted off the Campus and arrested.

Freedom of speech as long as it pertains to liberals only.

I''ll end by saying I don't consider BHO as the leader..I got bad vibes about this guy and I'm not alone either. My nephew U.S. Army Rangers, is about to complete his second tour in Afghanistan. One month left...(a short-timer) but in the bush that seems like a lifetime when one is counting the days. He too has reservations about serving further under the current empty-suited embarrasment that occupies the White house.
