hi all! a much safer and more cost effective way of generating electricity is to use a MHD
generator to convert the kinetic energy of seawater into electricity. i updated my blog with a description of how to make a basic version. Cosmic Electrodynamics

very handy as it doesn't destroy the 3rd largest economy on Earth unlike some vastly evil technologies i could mention *cough* uranium.
BTW for those who like nuke power thorium reactors are way cheaper and safer but they don't make plutonium for warheads unlike our death trap plants today (thorium tech was surpressed in the early 50's)

Thanks for the tip. I looked into it and yes, Thorium fuel cycle generator reactors are indeed the only sensible choice for power production.

But when your ultimate goal is to get other nations to manufacture your plutonium for free, well here we are.
