No Rebuttal from GOP

No matter what Barry says, they should oppose...
Without even hearing the plan, you opposite it. Such logic will undoubtedly prevail in the House and send Tea Party members off into hours of ranting and raving. Obama is counting on this to show how Republicans feel about job creation. If you really want to hurt Obama pass the legislation and prove him wrong.

well I was never a fan of this rebuttal crap anyway, no matter who's in office. I don't know who how or why it started but, the pres is the pres., he gets the floor, period.

I heard that the local affiliates are staying with the pre- game show just in case he runs over.....*shrugs*..

The President's speech is another stop on his campaign tour.I expect nothing new from this speech so I don't have any problem with the Republicans not responding.

Ah, we already passed "this" legislation, Flopper. We passed it back in 2009. What we'll be getting tomorrow is a rehash of the original "stimulus"...a word Obama won't utter tomorrow night because that program was such a dud. Instead he'll call it something else and people like you will nod your head and go "Yes, we need that!"

Why bother rebutting to the same old shit just in different wording.

I want MORE OF YOU FOOLS MONEY..that first 800 billion wasn't enough, but I PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE this time it will work. really I mean it this time.

I wouldn't even bother attending, all it's going to be is ANOTHER UGLY finger pointing, blame everyone else, I I I I I I me me me me.

Thankfully, I I I I I wont be watching it. CAN'T STAND to. I'll read about the crap after.

LOL. That is pretty funny.

It's like we should let someone drive the car off a cliff and when we hit the canyon floor below we can say, "I told you that wasn't a good idea."

This legislation is not going to pass. Obama knows it. Everyone in congress knows. This is a political statement designed to show Republicans as the obstructionists.

If Obama's plan is to espouse more stimulus, so that republicans will repudiate it as ridiculous and out of touch, he ought to know that they will have the full support of their constituency, as well as independent voters. In other words, republicans, are more than happy to be shovel ready for more of Obama's jobless recovery bullshit.

Talk about a president who is out of touch with reality!

Flopper, I have never met anyone who believes that jobs can be created in Washington. But, I have to tell you, that after reading your posts, I really think that you somehow BELIEVE that by a wave of the magic wand, government can make jobs fly out of their butts just like they do flying monkeys.

I would LOVE to hear how this is going to happen. Let's put aside the partisan rhetoric and I would actually like to hear how you think one thing that comes out of Washington is good for job creation. Is their some sort of magical government beaurocracy that will manufacture jobs and put Americans to work? Instead of telling you once again how many jobs were created by the last trillion dollars spent in the stimulus, why don't you tell me how stealing money from me and giving it to a bloated, ineffective, incredibly wastefull government is going to do some good?

I will tell you right now that I believe that the only time Washington does ANYTHING good, is when they go on recess or vacation. You want to create jobs? Listen to the freakin people who OWN BUSINESSES! Not those that sit on their keisters and bloviate and posture. Unless of course, your ideas is to do away with the free enterprise system and capatalism? Is that it? Are we talking a French style of socialism here? Oh Lord, please tell me that you aren't a "We need to be like Europe" Democrat?

I'm listening Flopper...

The republicans strategy today is to gain back power, whatever happens to Americans is no concern of theirs - that is true on both sides of the aisle. It almost seems the president is the only force for good in the nation, I am thinking of Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, LBJ, and now Obama. Faced with tough times these men rose to the occasion but the congress today is married to K street and corporations. How long will it take before the gap between the haves and have nots leads to trouble? All it will soon need is a leader, or something like what happened in Wisconsin.

"Republicans, of course, cloak themselves in the rhetoric of freedom and necessity and express concern about future generations. That the beast they would slay ultimately translates to the lives of American citizens, including some of the most vulnerable who depend on government social programs to which they enjoy legal, political, and moral entitlement, is irrelevant. Hatred of government is a disease with them. They loathe common purpose and project, especially when channeled through the state. Their hatred of government, it seems to me, is tantamount to hatred of country." Steven Johnston The Contemporary Condition: Why Do Republicans Hate America?

Wow, you mean to tell me that those over-paid, ineffective, bloviating beaurocrats in Washington is really AMERICA? And to think that I thought that America was that family in Texas where mom and dad work and the kids go to school and all they want is to have the American dream and to BE LEFT ALONE! I thought America was that family of immigrants in Colorado who came here (legally), started a business and is working 120 hours a week to make it. I thought America was that construction worker, or that computer programmer, or that grocer, or that guy who comes around early in the morning and picks up your freakin trash and who would love to do something else. I thought America was that family who proudly shows that blue star flag in the front window of their home, or that retired man who won't let that soldier pay for his own cup of coffee at the convenience store.

It just is amazing to me that someone can literally sit at a computer and with a straight face actually write that those piss-ignorant, over-paid, self-serving, beaurocrats that couldn't care less about whether something actually gets done or not, is really what America is all about!

I can tell you that this Republican, member of the Tea Party, and frequent and regular contributor to my representatives campaigns, KNOWS that America is better served when the beaurocracy in Washington KNOWS that they stand on thin ice and that if we had our way, about 100,000 of them would have their pink slips TOMORROW! "They loathe common purpose and project, especially when channeled through the state." Common purpose and project???? Especially when channeled through the state???? As an AMERICAN, I don't stand in line well. As an American, I believe that the state is their to SERVE me AT MY PLEASURE, not the other way around. Sounds like something written in the Communist manifesto.

I am in awe. I am completely speechless that someone could actually write that Republicans are BAD because they don't LOVE government. Well, you are right. We don't. Government is like oil and freedom is like water. The two don't mix. They never willl. That is just absolutely the sickest thing I've ever read.

Washington doesn't create private sector jobs. I have never claimed that they did. The federal government provides fiscal stimulus in the form of tax incentives and increased government spending. The Fed provides monetary stimulus in the form of interest rate cuts, increases in the money supply and reduction in bank reserve rate requirements. This administration has done all of the above with exception of lower bank reserve requirements which may come soon.

Unemployment is an immediate problem that requires immediate action. Deficit spending is a long term problem. If we put the cart before the horse, by making cuts in government spending before we solve the unemployment problem, we only exasperate the deficit problem by increasing unemployment and reducing revenues.

Then there is regulation. I have not read a single economist who believes reduction in federal government regulations will solve the current unemployment problem. The reasons are pretty simple. Most regulation that effect small business are not federal but state and local. Also most economist point to the lack of regulations, primary in the financial sector as a major cause of the recession.

All this is of course about economic ideology, which has little to do with the proposed legislation. The proposed legislation is all about politics which the right doesn't seem to grasp.
