I may have been there. I may not have been there.

Either way, I know what the Deputy Chief of Base and the Security Team Leader told Congress the Chief said when the Team Leader told him "we got to go get those guys."

The three "Liars of Benghazi" blame the CIA Chief of Base for the seven minute tactical delay. But, it was actually the Security Team Leader who delayed the team's departure from the CIA Annex. He wanted a machine gun truck. He asked the Chief to help him by contacting February 17 and requesting a machine gun truck.

It was the Rescue Team Leader, not the Chief of Base, who wanted "to get some technicals to go with us." The Chief had cleared the rescue mission to go about seventeen minutes earlier, when he said, "absolutely."
