This is, of course, a Brit's view as selected by BBC. I think it focuses too much on the old and abandoned other than what is a true depiction.

They do appear to have captured scenes from some of america's sacrifice zones don't they.
 
That early 60's Ford Falcon Ranchero in the picture is a real collector's car and worth quite a few bucks. Even though someone slapped a fake Diesel logo on the tailgate. .... :cool:

That's a nice picture but a camera will never see that building and those stars together like that.

That's what jumped out at me. Looks like it was ripped off a Mercedes.
 
The pictures of the buildings and store fronts reminds me of where I grew up in southern Oklahoma and north Texas.

Or as we used to say, "Where the pavement ends and the wild west begins". ..... :cool:
