Native America
The New Yorker has weighed in on the Washington Redskins controversy with a poignant new cover for its Dec. 1 issue.

The magazine hit newsstands Monday as much of the country readies itself for Thanksgiving festivities. Its cover depicts jubilant pilgrims dressed in Redskins jerseys -- cheering, drinking beer and smoking cigars -- as their Native American guests look on with what appears to be stoic disapproval.

The cover is a clear comment on the controversy surrounding the NFL team in recent months, with many condemning the term "Redskins" as a racial epithet for Native Americans and calling for the team to change its name.

Thank you, New Yorker! Happy Thanksgiving!

Why are White and Black and acceptable racial terms, but Red and Yellow are not? How about Brown?

Why are they so upset over a Washington football team honoring native Americans with their name?

what do you have against native Americans? Why do you hate them so much?

Perhaps a less offensive name for the Washington team would be the Pocomokes, as they were a Native American tribe that lived in Maryland.

Was the founder of the Florida State Seminoles a diseased racist like George Preston Marshall?

Not to mention the Seminole nation has given expressed approval for the use of their name and I believe they have a few Seminoles on their university board. FSU and the Seminole nation are all together.
