Overall a good movie, confusing at times due to a lack of the screen writer providing a back story of what we are looking at. Also there is virtually no backstory to any characters. So it leaves you wondering who these people are, and what is their relationships.
Despite poor screen writing, the story itself is solid. (I am betting the book is a lot better).
Worth watching, just know you will be confused at times.

Note - it is a low budget film. Which is unfortunate, because the story deserves better. It has a "made for TV" vibe to it.

The book is great. The movie is weak for all the reasons you stated. In the book all the characters are fleshed out and it makes a lot more sense. And the time the story took place over was very condensed in the movie. Not bad but the book was much better.

Thanks, I tend to skip over anything older than 2-3 years out, so would have missed this one.
