George H.W. Bush is 92 or 93 years old and not in the best of health so it's not really surprising he's not getting involved in this George W stated when he left office he wasn't getting in on politics anymore and with the exceptions of a few appearances with Jeb in the primary he's stuck to that so his staying out is also no surprise.
