Fox News is already up in arms about this.

But what comes first, the bad coverage or the moves/comments that generate the coverage?

The list of McCain's gaffes is long, really, really, long. Palin hasn't helped that. Then there's the fact that his party has overseen potentially the most disastrous period in American history. There's his policies that don't seem to be jiving with voters.

And all of this ends up as things that aren't good and generating negative coverage.

Then there's the whole fact that the McCain campaign/his supporters may well be the most negative in history: "Hussein", he's an arab-- no he's a good family man, 'real americans', socialism etc.

Pretty crazy for anyone to equate the negative coverage to 'media bias', but then without the media bias talking point, fox and it's stooges wouldn't have much to talk about.

There wouldn't be a Fox News without it!

The media and politics are the same pile of garbage.

If McCain had said on the stump "I've been in all 57 states" there would have been hours of MSNBC "in depth investigation" on how his age is affecting his congnitive abilities.

If Sarah Palin appeared on the Today show and said that FDR went on television in 1929 to address the American people about the stock market crash, the NYT would STILL be running huge headlines about how her ignorance of history is having a negative impact on voters. (Hint: Hoover was president in 1929 and television, if it existed, was still a lab experiment)

Instead, Obama is given a pass for his "57 states" slip up. "He was tired" they said.

Biden's glaring ignorance is barely a blip on the media's radar screen.

But of course, liberal media bias is a figment of the Republican imagination. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.....

I think the difference is that you probably can;t name all that many other slip ups by Obama, and the ratio of slip-ups is much higher for McCain than it is Obama. Three words: Joe the plumber.

But like a good conservative I can see you didn't bother to read the study, which says that almost all the coverage biden has received has been negative, other than the debate.

But then why let a study, stats, or reality get in the way of proclaiming a talking pts.

Biden may make verbal gaffes, but then he knows he did.

Palin does and doesn't know.

She is ignorant of most information that a VP should have.

Right, she runs the Senate.

The right wing media has jumped on Biden and Obama as much as the left wing media has done that to the Palin McCain team.

It was only on a few spots where McCain made the huge gaffe of saying first he totally agreed with Murtha.

Don't get pissed because right now it looks like "real americans" will win back the Whitehouse.

If Biden knows he's a fool, why can't he fix it. That's some twisted logic right there.

I'd be happy if "real Americans" won the White House this fall. I'd like to see it kept in the family.

Considering the people the phrase 'real americans' keeps getting applied to are red necks, I would say there's a good chance it's already being kept in the family, if ya know what I mean!

BOOUYAH!

To be critical of one media outlet today and to praise another to me is like asking a person what their favorite football team is. In most cases, today media has no professional ethics and are slaves to the all mighty ratings and the ideals that drive them. Today you do not get news thats is not contain some sort of editorial and depending on what flavor you enjoy, is what media you watch. However, don't confuse entertainment with news as MSNBC, FOX, and CNN as well as wll the other outlets are in the entertainment busness these days and have no idea what the word news means. That is what you see story after story that is literally made up out of thin air, and then retracted in the dark of night, or anchors demoted for promoting an agenda that is over the top. It is up to you to take what you are given and be the filter for these shills for the the respective partys. I had the opportunity to hear something the other day that IMO was a very good anology on journalist. In order to become a journalist today one need but to clain they are a journalist without having any prior experience, orfor that matter a testing mechanism that places them into that position. Think about it, even a person that works hard each day making close to minumum wage in order to be a cook at Mcdonalds needs to go through a learning process to be a cook there. However in todays media all one need do is open their collective mouths.

lol, love how loberals get on Fox News, yet every other fucking media outlet is purely liberal.

Look what CNN did the other day by twisting the words of the Nation Review article and attacking Palin on her interview with it.

Obama says if it wasn't for Fox he woul dhave another 3 points.

Well, if itwasn't got MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, NYTimes, Washington Post, the list goes ona nd on you would be down 30!

You know it's bad when the editor of the NY times when asked about when McCain said that the NYTimes is slanted towards the left he responds "Everytime McCain says something I go and dig up the nastiest article I can find about him" Yeah, thats true and honest journalism.

Obama has gotten a free fucking pass with the media. All media presence about Obama has been positive, and for McCain has been negative on a 3:1 ratio.

However, who cares about all that shit anyway

Ah, a redneck joke. Classic.

And you wonder why conservatives say that liberals hate real Americans?

Righton, righton, righton! People need to think critically about *all* media. I prefer to get my news via pundits (on both sides) because at least they don't have the thin veneer of objectivity.

Here's the thing, I, along with most people will admit/say Olbermann is 'liberal'.

But the difference between MSNBC and Fox News is abundantly clear to all but the most blind partisan. MSNBC has a slant, but it doesn't compare to Fox. Just as their lineups don't compare. Fox News has one lame 'liberal'. That's it. MSNBC has a few conservatives, including one of their main hosts in Joe. There's just no comparing them.

And there's also a distinct difference between 'liberal' and center/balanced.

I read all sorts of news, which is why I know about Mornin' Joe, Olbermann, and that Fox is doing their usual thing right now about this 'biased coverage'.

But the biggest difference that's evidenced in this thread can be summed up quite easily. I consider red necks to be 'real' Americans. I consider blacks, hispanics, jews, queers, whites, ALL to be REAL Americans. Not muslims, though. They aren't real americans.

And that's the difference between liberals and conservatives right now.
