Best to read the endorsement from the source. Some pretty good analysis in there. Shows what breaking up the Dem/Rep monopoly could accomplish..

An Editorial -- Joseph W. McQuaid, Publisher: A better choice for President (No need to hold your nose)
    By JOSEPH W. McQUAID
    New Hampshire Union Leader Publisher

A joke on the Internet: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are together in a lifeboat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. No land in sight. No ships in sight.

    Question: Who survives?

    Answer: The American people.

Americans are being told that we have to choose the lesser of two evils. No, we don’t.

Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are on the ballot in all 50 states. Their records (as Republican governors in politically-divided states)

speak well of them. They would be worth considering under many circumstances. In today’s dark times, they are a bright light of hope and reason.

The Union Leader and Sunday News endorse them.

And from the accompanying piece on the Editorial Page ----------------------------------------

    Johnson-Weld 2016: A better choice | New Hampshire

Electing a third party President might be just the ticket to snapping a squabbling Congress out of its partisanship. Both Republicans and Democrats would be independent of the White House, and freer to debate issues apart from tribal loyalties.

Restoration of these checks and balances might be the most promising benefit of a Johnson presidency. The pattern of presidential overreach stretches back not just eight years, but eight decades, as every commander-in-chief worked to consolidate political authority in the Executive Branch, and every Congress meekly consented.

Gary Johnson would be the first President in modern memory to limit the scope of both the federal government, and his own power as President.

Neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump show any signs of such political humility.

Scared enough as it is, but it scares me even more that he's left enough to get support from Unions.

Only 10% in ONE pole and they have already cut him out of the debate, along with Hill Billy Jilly! But he really is THIS STUPID, as are the people that will vote for him!

Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein will not be on the presidential debate stage for the first contest sponsored by the Commission on President Debates. Johnson and Stein both fell short of the 15 percent polling threshold required to participate, the commission said in a statement, adding that Trump and Clinton will face off on September 26 and their running mates, Tim Kaine and Mike Pence, will debate on October 4. Johnson in particular was pushing hard for inclusion in the debates, as he’d polled in the double digits across several national surveys, and previously...

I don't know that the LParty has much support at all from the Unions. Not with us being dedicated to education reform and government reform..

I got nothing against Unions in general.. But they cling to 19th Century ideas of jobs and careers. And they ARE in the way of accountability and flexible, efficient customer service when they are public servants.

Remember when The Union-Leader was a respected newspaper?

But then Mrs. Loeb, the last of the family, died and, after a brief interval, so did the respect.

You do realize that the "Union" referred to is The Union-Leader, a newspaper, right?
