I think you are misjudging three things that are wildly different in the US v. Canada:

1) More than 70% of the senators up for reelection are Ds that mostly needed Obama at the top of the ticket to win their seats and the hearings are doing nothing for their chances of winning. The R senators seeking reelection beat a much bigger blue wave than the Ds can mount this go round. The blue senators up for reelection including Manchin the strongest of the pack want a chance to vote yes on Kavanaugh to show that they are not partisan robots..

2) the members of the Witch hunt will need elected D higher ups to roll over on to reduce the severity of their sentence when the red line for declassification hits early next month for the traditional October surprise.

3) Trump has a long and known list of back-ups for Kavanaugh and trying this crap a second time will run off the independents.

It's definitely not ok, but let's be clear, she doesn't claim she was raped.

Also, it's not ok for some to exploit a womans experience for their own political gain and condemning a man outside of a court of law with no evidence other than the word of someone else from 36 years prior.

If this came out 30 years ago, or 25 years ago, it would still be suspect but there wouldn't be this cloud of the S.C nomination. Consider the other allegation, some of which are outlandish and from a person who was represented by Katz 10 years ago and is now represented by the CPL.

I feel sorry for her, she's being used as a pawn. I don't feel sorry for standing up for ANY person accused without valid evidence and a reasonable time frame.
