More terrible news for Tesla

A number of very smart people bought into Tesla when it was below 100. The stupid ones knew EV's wouldn't work, and they are still making that statement. And will be with today's Tesla stock is worth $2200.

Dang.....this poor company has been getting some horrible press in recent weeks with cars almost killing their drivers due to automatic drive fuck ups and now one of their premium models just spontaneously bursting into flames.:wtf::wtf:

This is a top story on DRUDGE right now and many social media outlets as this Tesla was owned by a Hollywood star!

:oops-28::oops-28::oops8:

Actress Mary McCormack claims her husband's Tesla Model S 'spontaneously combusted' | Daily Mail Online

With EV sales being so shitty, this is the last thing the industry needs, especially when Tesla reliability records have been historically crappy.
Very weird fire….looked like a giant flare coming out from under it.....

Gasoline powered cars have at least 10 times as many fires... You should be used 2 battery fires by now...

Bugger!
Oh well...it's an innovative company working on the cutting edge.
I'm sure they'll learn from this and their cars will be safer as a result.

Why did you quote my comment and then not address it.....

What is it about these Tesla fAiL threads that make progressives heads explode? When the lightning bolt of reality rears its ugly head, the Disney bubble bursts.... like when the 10-year old finds out the hard truth that there really is no Santa!!:cul2::cul2::fu:. It's called the big bumpy cucumber my friends!

Plus, you throw stuff like THIS >>> Trump's forecast of 4% GDP growth close to coming true as Americans spend tax-bill proceeds. ....and let's face it, these people are miserable!!:113:
Probably because it is total BS, for silly dupes only.... Some people care a lot about the truth obviously not Republicans.
...

Mudslinging with zero substance is ghey. Gotta bring something to the table or people think you're a dick!!!:2up:

EV sales are a joke.

The figures pwn you s0n!:bye1:

No it doesn't make that much difference since the reflection will now go into cars, buildings and people instead. The amount of incoming energy from the sun remains the same in the area, just redistributed a little bit.

It might even make things hotter for those walking by it with the sun reflecting onto them instead of being absorbed into the pavement.

A typical hate comment, doesn't provide a thoughtful comment on the topic.
So do you still believe the Chevrolet volt catches on fire and costs 278000 dollars to build each, super dupe? That was a big help to our economy. Change the Channel and read something.

The topic is about Tesla having problems, why can't you focus on that?

Tesla is a company getting massive subsidies, making people very rich and delivering a very problematic product while Chevrolet gets very small amount of subsidy delivering cars with very few problems.

Chevy Volt is a HYBRID!

Why don't YOU stop being an ass and start thinking rationally?
No as always the topic is there is no problem, just GOP propaganda destroying as much as possible the success of an American company because it is a progressive company fighting Big Oil, super duper.

You didn't address my comment at all, just another rant.

You made it seem that Chevy Volt is an EV , when it is a Hybrid. You were wrong.

Next you thought I am a republican and think I am part of some propaganda drive. You were wrong again.

Your anger and hate is clouding your head.
Hybrid or electric makes no difference d u h. You're the one parroting GOP bologna. Independent democratic or Republican I hate lies.

You are now in deep trolling mode since I have not badmouthed EV's or Hybrids. You wrote this flat out lie!

"Hybrid or electric makes no difference d u h. You're the one parroting GOP bologna. Independent democratic or Republican I hate lies."

I have NOT mention a thing about a fire or said it was a bad car, I stated they are having problems and they are getting way too much subsidy support, that was it. I never made any statement against Chevy Volt usefulness either.

All you have done in this thread is spew out ugly partisan hate onto me, it is unproductive and stupid. You made no attempt to an honest debate the entire time. You should drop it and go on.

Your comment is empty and full of divisive crap.

I am NOT a Republican, I have been Independent for many years now, since I left the Democratic part back in the early 1990's.
Plenty of GOP doops who are independents Or democrats...

When I said independent, I mean INDEPENDENT!

You can drop your silly attempts to keep me in your hate category, partisan hate is boring and stupid.
I just hate your misinformation Tesla is fine.

I haven't heard about painting their streets white, but using lighter colored asphalt has long been a safety feature used all across the country. Lighter color gives better reflection from headlights making night driving much safer. Are you against safer night driving?

You missed it then since it was in the news back in April and talked about here in the forum:

Los Angeles painting city streets white in bid to combat climate change

Photos in the link, it cost only $40,000 per mile.

I guess I did miss that. Reducing road heat by 10 degrees will make the roads last longer and lower the ambient temperature. Sounds like a great idea.

No it doesn't make that much difference since the reflection will now go into cars, buildings and people instead. The amount of incoming energy from the sun remains the same in the area, just redistributed a little bit.

It is a massive waste of money, that could have been used elsewhere for a much greater return.

Much better to grow a lot more trees instead, which has a double benefit.

Yeah, but trees don't have to constantly be repainted so no way for the politicians buddies to make money off of that.

Your ignorance about Tesla is astounding since they DO have problems, heavily in debt, reaching JUNK status:

Tesla has a problem. Maybe a big problem

EXCERPT:

"Time is running out for Tesla's unmet promises.
The leading electric car maker's struggles to ramp up production of its first mass-market car, the Model 3, could mean a cash crunch for the upstart automaker.

Tesla (TSLA) has thousands of customers lined up ready to buy a Model 3, which has a $35,000 starting price. But it keeps badly missing its production targets, and it is burning through cash as it does so. And it faces deadlines to pay more than $1 billion in bonds due over the the next year - $230 million due in November and $920 million next March."

Tesla issues its largest recall to date, affecting 123,000 Model S vehicles

I hope they can squeeze through, but I think they'd do better to drop the supercar line, sexy as it is, and develop a radically CHEAP, practical EV.
They should look at what Tata is doing, and apply some of that famed brilliance to the project.

You know what? Whenever that idiot shows up in a thread, you know one thing is certain: you're winning. Note the level of pronounce misery in every post as the head explosions occur..... he doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's an uber-partisan k00k.

Anyway even if Tesla manages to sell a couple of hundred thousand new models this year, EV'S remain as a tiny sliver in the market. Only progressives can go from 1% to 2% of the market and start taking bows!:aug08_031:

What is hilarious is their anger over the dam things, as if their life depends on it.

Personally I have no problem with people wanting to buy one, but saying this is for saving the planet is baloney as they are composed of toxic materials and does emit a lot CO2 in the production of the cars. I also resent the government subsidizing the company that makes them, and provide a large tax incentive for buying it.

The forecast is for 82 MILLION new cars this year, with all electric model sales combined below 1 Million cars.

I told the truth about myself and the jerk keeps right on being a partisan jackass on me. It is clear he brings nothing to the debate table but hate and anger.

I wonder how long it took for cars to replace horses after they were first introduced to the market.

Maybe you should try looking at more recent news about Tesla... When there is no bad news, go crazy over one catching on fire, when other cars catch fire 10 times as much with much more inflammatory results...
