I submit to the Board that male homosexuality is a phenomenon that is totally different from lesbianism. They are not two sides of the same coin (as is imagined in the public sphere), but a coin and a dollar bill.

Men are carnal by nature. They are driven to copulate even before they know what copulation is. The drive is so compelling that many "heterosexual" men will go to extremes when confronted with a situation where normal copulation is not possible. Wasn't it Winston Churchill who said that the Royal Navy lived on "buggery and salt pork"? And in prisons, some men who would literally kill you on the outside if you "accused" them of being homosexual, are performing homosexual acts as a matter of course.

And consider, mens' desire to copulate is only incidentally relational. In other words, a man will decide that he wants to copulate with a particular female, not because he "loves" her, or even knows her. He may not even speak the same language. But if her appearance and mannerisms strike the nerve for him he will want to copulate with her. And that goes for men who intensely "love" their wives as well. Just because you love a woman doesn't mean that you wouldn't love to fuck Jennifer Anniston. And you would still love your wife afterward.

But "homosexuals" are men who, through some perverse practical joke by Mother Nature, are driven to copulate with other men. It is not a choice, any more than it is a choice to want to eat a hamburger when you are hungry. You can choose not to eat the hamburger - we do have free will, after all - but cannot choose not to WANT to eat the hamburger.

A final point on homosexuals: consider the ramifications to "social life" when both you and the objects of your lust are male. You are ALL carnal, all interested in copulation at virtually all times, until old age causes the desire to wane. Why do you think that AIDS made it around the world so quickly? Because queers were being monogamous? Seriously?

Lesbians, on the other hand, are not carnal by nature. Sex for women is mainly part of a relationship. Lesbians won't go to a gay bar and [do whatever it is they do] with multiple partners consecutively on the same night (as homosexuals often do - or at least used to do before the AIDS plague). Lesbians mainly want to find a woman with whom they can relate on a comprehensive level, including occasional bouts of mutual masturbation. promiscuity is not generally an issue with "committed" lesbian couples. Many women become "lesbian" because they simply cannot relate to men, and they "convert" when they finally meet a man that they connect with.

Homosexual men cannot convert. Believe it. It ain't happening.

Promiscuity is not an issue with male gay couples, because promiscuosity is expected and normal. In most cases, the ONLY thing keeping male-gay couples monogamous (when that occurs) is fear of catching The Bug.

On a related subject, although I am a "conservative," I have no objection to states sanctioning homosexual marriages. WGAS?

Huh? News to me. Almost every woman I know loves sex enough to putalmost any man in the ground. They want sex all the time. They just don't think about it all the time.

I mean, c'mon, men can't have multiple orgasms! Women might have menstruation, pregnancy, child birth, and a social double standard to deal with but we men may still have gotten the short end of this deal...

You are delusional. Too much time watching internet porn.

If you actually talk to human females (which you have apparently not done) you will find that the old saw is as true today as it was 50 years ago: Men give affection because they want sex; women give sex because they want affection.

Although the general premise of the OP is not inaccurate, it is too generalized. I know many women (including myself) who are extremely carnal. And yes, have sex with multiple partners. Being gay, lesbian, bi, or hetero has little to do with that. However, the part of the OP discussing hetero men in prison is correct.

It's important to note that a sexual act does not equal orientation. The OP did mention that, but perhaps it needs to be clarified. While a man may engage in sex with other men when no females are available, he is not gay. Women will do the same, btw, in prison. It's human nature, and people need that release. Even the most ardent religious follower practicing abstinence will masturbate. Asexuals make up a very small portion of the human population.

Ultimately, education is the key. If people will accept others for who they are, and not be so quick to slap a label on another person and write them off- the world would be a much better place.

Actually, men can have multiple orgasms. I will admit that for men, "multiple" means 2 or 3 and not the double digit numbers that a woman can experience. I know my statements to be fact from personal experience.
